I decided to start this thread since I,m going perpetual just makes things easier.
Now I say perpetual , but I,m not taking clones. I have decided that since clones are so abundant here , just to buy them when I,m ready for new plants.
Once I get this going I,ll be able to harvest every month. The plan is to have 4 plants flowering , when 2 finish the other 2 will be staggered 4 weeks back . Then just add 2 more to flowering and so on . This thread is open feel free to comment and suggest.
Now lets grow !

Organics

Organic is the way I have been having success . Organics can be very forgiving and it seems to be a good way to go for new growers. Just keep it simple . How? .

Soil

When you first research organics you come across soil mixes . People have all sorts of recipes , most are some what similar . What they dont tell you is , it's more expensive and more headache to mix your own. All of the ingrediants far exceed the cost of a bag of quality organic soil . Although you will have enough for several grows , it taps you out on cash.
Save your money and go with a quality organic soil . I'm using Happy Frog and I,m happy with it . No http://www.bing.com/search?q=deficiency&FORM=AWRE deficiencys . Just add 1 tbsp per gallon of Dolomite Lime . I also add kelp meal about 1 tbsp per gallon of soil and pearlite at a 4 to 1 ratio .

Nutrients

For nutrients I still use Age Old Organics liquid grow and bloom . I use molassas every time I water or feed . Lemon juice concentrate for PH down has been working well for me . I'm sure any Organic nutrient would work . You just have to figure out how much to give them . Start out with 1/8 what the label says to use , then gradually up the dose every feeding till you find your threshold . Once you get some burned leaf tips just back it off some and now you have figured out how much to feed your babies. With Age Old liquid I have never found the threshold . I simply stopped at a dose I was comfortable with. I will up it some more this round to see what happens.

Water

Most people will tell you PH doesnt matter in soil or organics . Bullshit ! These people just happen to have decent water to begein with.
Mine is high ph with a buffer that doesn,t allow it to be knocked down period . You have to know what your working with before you grow! Check the PH of your tap . If its out of range , try to ph it . If you cant get the levels acceptable , don't use it .You will fight nutrient lockout problems throughout your grow . I purchase RO water . Now that you know what your working with yes Ph doesnt matter!
In a true organic soil enviroment micro organisms make nutrients availible at a broader ph range . The molassas I add is primarly for a calcium magnesium source . RO water has no nutrient at all and a cal mag source is needed . Secondary reason for the molassas is to be sure the micro organisms feed off the sugars in it .

Been trying some different ideas to help keep my temps up . I'm trying to do it efficently . I can keep temp with a 250w heat lamp but its more watts than I want to lose to heating . What's been working good is 125w heat lamp on a dimmer during the day along with a 13w cfl in the veg chamber ,and at night when the Flowering chamber is on I go "brite time " in veg (24/0 in veg) all my cfls come on .This is when my veg plants get suitable lighting , the cfls generate a good bit of heat .

Exhaust - 4in Hydrofarm Inline fan . This is a passive system with 2-4 in. intakes with backdraft dampers and bug netting (panty hose :) ) The big pic shows 1 of the two intakes for the flowering chamber . Air enters the veg chamber via 2 4in dampers not pictured.

Buds have been in the dryer now for 10 hrs . So far all I can see is a 2 degree temp. , and 4 points in humidity fluctuation. So that is good it maintains well with that cheap line voltage thermostat . The idea is to maintain optimal temp. and RH conditions and have complete control of it . For instance you could say run the temp up to 80 and drop the humidity low then high in cycles to sweat the moisture out of the buds.Mabey this would speed up the process? IDK seems like a good theory for now I'm just maintaining as constant as i can . I have only done a short run with a sample of some plump underbuds . I did not trim nothing off of these it seemed to slow the process badly the fan leaves retain alot of moisture . Although I didn't get them dry enough after a couple weeks in a jar and paper bag , it turned out very nice .
I opened the jar last night after it had been sealed for a week straight , man it smelled really great ! That smell that dispencary meds lack. Smoked pretty good kinda wetter than preferred but very nice appearance and aroma .

i just checked the roots on the plant I harvested . They was healthy and plenty of them . It was root bound just at the bottom , bad enough though I think it was causing the pot to hold more moisture than wanted . So I will be definatly going up on my flowering pot size .Been using 3 gallons I,ll go with probaly the short wide 5 gallon pots .
