Kinda sick but kinda not

Just joined this site a few days ago but I’ve been lurking for a while. I’ve learned a lot and I have to say this forum and others like it are a great resource.

I have a single white widow from seedsman currently in her 7th week of flower. This is my second grow. She’s in a DWC 5g bucket in a 2’x2’x4’ mini tent with a single Mars Hydro TS1000. I’m using GH flora trio with a little flower fuel to boost P and K along with some cal mag. Temps are 65 at night and 72-75 during the day with RH around 50% at night and 60-65% during the day.

My issue is this: Around week 4-5 of flower, the fan leaves started to curl down and get this weird petrified fossilized look to them. I let my PH swing between 5.5-6.5 and the highest I’ve gone with ppm during this current grow is 650. Root zone temps are the same as the grow area, but I’m using hydro guard and I believe the roots are fine. I guess what I’m trying to say is that my fan leaves have done the same thing during both grows and I’m not sure what the issue is and if it even is an issue. My previous grow had high temps in the tent along with a laundry list of issues a first time grower faces, such as over feeding. I’ve corrected the heat and over feeding this go around, but she’s still looking a little off. I’ve started to lower ppm around week 6. In week 7 I’m at around 350ppm. Highest was 650 at week 5. Stopped feeding nitrogen after week 5 and was careful not to feed too much since that burned me last time. I basically followed the directions on the bottle but started at 1/4 strength. Please see attached images and feel free to share your thoughts with me. I’m open to all input. I tried to include some pics of the whole plant and a few of the leaf issues I’m concerned about. Thanks for reading my novel!

You're worrying about nothing man.
65 is a little cool, leaves can claw from that. A little too much N can cause it too.
They look good.
Thanks for the reply. I’m a little paranoid about having the same issues as I did last grow with sub par final product. Of course I could’ve fucked something up during dry/cure. I didn’t know cool temps could cause leaf clawing.

Looking great man.
only thing I would say isgetting the temps up to 80-82 with led. I noticed a big difference in growth rates compared to the mid 70s.

Your plant looks alright to me. You got pics of your last run?
Yeah, here’s some pics. These were in a 4x4x7 tent in my garage, which isn’t air conditioned. Temps were way out of control, sometimes getting into the mid 90’s. I obviously had no idea that growing in the garage during summer was a terrible idea. I still have about 3oz of terrible tasting/looking bud that will get you high if you can bring yourself to smoke enough of it lol. Made some decent butter though. I think I fucked up many things on this one, but the dry and cure was definitely botched also.

So you go with DWC in a short tent? If this turns out disappointing consider using Pro Mix or even Fox Farms soils.
Yeah, I’ve never used soil. I went with DWC because I was already set up for it from last time. It was originally in a 5g tote, but I think it was getting root bound in the shallow Rez during the stretch so I switched her into the bucket. I’ve been wanting to try soil just to see the difference. Being in complete control of the nutrients in DWC can be a problem for a newbie.

They look pretty good too. Good enough, that with a proper dry and cure, it shouldn't have been too bad.

Interesting. I’ve been doing everything I can to keep temps down and no higher than 77.
77 is the “magic” number for hid. They give off IR light. Causing your leaf temp to be higher then air temp. LED dose not have that effect. Their for you should run a higher air temp.

being that you are a decent way into flower I would probably stay around the 80f mark.

I usually drop to 78-80f the last 2-3 weeks

I’ll see what I can do about the temps. That’s good info about LED. Thanks
