Thanks, I appreciate that. Glad I had a ccouple guys to discuss this grow with along the way. In a few ways, this was a tough first grow...I bit off a little more than I could chew, but all in all I think I can mark it down as a success when all is said and done. I've learned so much from this, more than I ever learned from growing tomatoes.

Now I can't wait to get going on some of that BB gear. It's going to be hard choosing what to run...definitely want to do a Blue Pit. Choices choices...

DSC02528.jpgmy 1 Casey Jones s1 from BB... under 12/12 still alive..watered down and sprayed with a light kelp mix.

i should tell you that i already made the cross blue hammer X kokush.
In the grandparents of kokush is also killa Queen used.
This turned out to be a nice cross but sensitive for nanners.
My guess is it will be triggert by both parents but you never now for sure. Hope this helps.
Nice you got another batch to play with.

A bit of info from the breeder...

I can say for sure that I have not see any "nanners" in the 4 female KQxBH that i have. If I would have you for sure would have herd about it by now...and I have had swinging temps....which will bring out the nanners....I have had none.

just a bit of info... :)

wishing you all the best...

No nanners here either, and between temperature fluctuations and overfeeding, I figure I'd have seen one or two pop up from the stress. Knock on wood since I haven't harvested yet...not that it would matter at this point.

Cheers.

this is good news... yeah for real knock on wood right! I thought I may have seen something pop up...but its seems to be all good! no nanners!

and theres no dout I`ve over feed as well...hence there getting straight water for a while.

I will do very selective harvests of the nugs over the course of the next few weeks/months...all based on when the seed is mature.

KQxBH are cut down, trimmed and hung to dry. Only the colas that were worth a damn got trimmed, the rest is getting turned into bho or qwiso.

Not at all. It's just that the lower branches were fluffy and difficult to trim, so I didn't waste my time, thats all I was commenting on. Totally my fault too, I should have cleaned them up a bit before flowering started. The tops were nice, firm and decently chunky. The aroma is just fantastic right now. So hopefully they dry slow, 4-5 days would be nice, then into the jars for at least a 2 week cure. I'm excited to finally try it.

Thank you kindly. I'll be sure to post some updates as they come.

I can't wait to see the results of your breeding project. I wonder what the KO Kush will bring to the KQxBH, and vice versa. Hope all goes well with your grow. Keep the updates coming.

just grabbed one of these. http://www.hydrofarm.com/product.php?itemid=1569#tabs-1

AGROSUN Gold Halides help plants to grow their best! A Hydrofarm exclusive, these spectrally-enhanced halides are the best all-purpose growth and fruiting/flowering light you can use. They emit more of the red wavelengths than the common halides. They are the "Gold Standard" in plant growth lighting, and thousands are in use by satisfied gardeners worldwide.AGROSUN Gold Halides are super halides with MORE red for flowering than other common halides.
AGROSUN halides OUTPERFORM common sodiums in 4.5" Geranium test* - 45% More Flowers Produced, 25% More Axillary Branching!
* Representative of Geranium responses only. Other crop types will vary in response.

I`m gonna keep the 4000k mh in there..till this round is done.. 2nd round 4000k mh for veg and the 3000k agrosun to flower...

leds are out now...these are finnialy getting cheaper....I`ve always wanted one and I`ve read nothing but good things, and there still selling ..they have stood the test of time, figured there must be something to these.

we`ll see if the KQxBH likes it ;)

Hope that new bulb works out for you.

I responded to your PM, got a message saying your inbox was full.

I'm going to work on getting some more pics posted, of everything. My Super Lemon Haze has been going beast mode. The tops are all bent over from weight, even with bamboo stakes, and she's getting frosty. Still another 2-3 weeks to go, at least, until I can think about harvesting her. The anticipation is killing me.

She's definitely full size...7'6" tall. Gonna be a pain in the ass to trim, but it'll be so worth it in the end.

Saving all my trim and popcorn for a run of iso wax...can't wait to do that.

The KQxBH seemed to be fairly dense at harvest, once it was dried, it seemed really airy. I'm sure I screwed something up, and I'm starting to think I should've given them another week or 2. Oh well, live and learn...jarred and curing now, so we'll see.

for sure dude it`ll be worth it.... makeing iso wax... thats over my head..I`m sure I could make bubble hash..if I bought the bags..yeah I`m gonna have to come up with a plan on what to do with the trim..

my casey jones s1 is still alive ..growing so slow..and it looks kinda sick...but I think I know why...I have had this fungus gnat problem...I belive it was due to keeping the soil to rich and moist..being that the CJ is still a seedling ..the larva and gnats have affected the roots. this happened a month or so ago...didnt think much of it..because they went away...they died off..because I was keeping a correct water/dry cycle..I`ve been workin so much I messed up. Added dry peat/soil to the top...drying them out now, they should be dead in a few days...I`m gonna buy some of those fly strips tmrw..just to see if they ever come back around. If you ever see them ...they can get out of hand fast! I know I have a few more weeks to go at least for full maturity...No bug will stand in my way at this point!

Been thinkin about some new genes : green manalishi (hopefully some day) , GSC s1 , Mickey Kush , Freedom 35 just thinking ....some of the prices just rip of pure greed...

joe on your KQxBH dont sweat it ...look 2 of mine are mainly sativa, but the other 2 are more like 50/50...or maybe a bit more indica...theres a winner in the KQxBH .. I can see it and smell it now more than ever

I got to sit and type a list of my old beans..I`ll get to it ..peace

I snapped a couple quick pics of the SLH with my phone. Not the best quality, but they give an idea of what she looks like.

This is a nug about midway down one of the main stalks on a side branch.

IMG_20131103_012535_zps11412a5e.jpg

And this is one of the tops, not one of the bigger ones, but the easiest one to photograph without breaking my neck.

About the Casey Jones...I'm wondering if these just don't have a lot of vigour. I started one and it took a while to germinate, then it just didn't really do much...very, very slow growth. At one week, it hadn't even put out the first set of serrated leaves. Could be a dud seed, but I'm thinking lack of vigour is consistent with what you're experiencing. What do you think?

Ultimately, I scrapped the CJ seedling. I have enough on my hands with getting this group of plants to harvest and then trimming, I don't want to bother messing with a fall/winter grow right now. Hope you have better luck with the CJ, maybe she'll come to life and take off, you never know.
