When I posted this 2 years ago, the price typically was around $30. Now everyone has them for about $20 including Amazon and Frys. The new version 4460 (about $25) allows you to input your local cost per kWh and it will display projected costs per hour, day, week, month or year. For the extra $5, I like that feature as it saves time figuring it out on a calculator which can be a pain when you are checking multiple appliances.

I was shopping in Fred Meyer at the light bulb section when I farted big time. By the time I had outrun the stink I was in a strange aisle. In front of me was one of those fancy shmancy Kill a Watt 3 way's for $29.

Not that it changes anything, but the microwave pulls 600 watts more than rated.

What crawled up your ass and died??^^
I think it's your own ass you're smelling. I was remarking to your "Cant believe no one has posted. Great tip!" post. My point is that people don't comment much on great tips like this but if someone posts a lame-ass thread like "I farted on my plants and they grew a foot", it would be there on the first page til Bessie's tits turn blue.

So that was you! Yeah, that was me behind you at Freddies; I was buying a fan for my DIY carbon scrubber, LOL. At least you let r rip before you got in your vehicle; don't let those windows down!! Damn it's cold out there!!!

Been using a Kill A Watt meter for 1 year now though I wish it was cheaper it has paid for its self hands down. I went from using a 250w desktop computer to a 60w laptop and I stopped using a 12w external hard drive to memory cards and USB flash drives. Deff good to use around the house and as for in the grow room it is very useful to help you to calculate how much some things cost to run and if its worth upgrading or down grading or not.
