Nah, GQ was just joking around, it was actually a compliment... I think? ;)

It is nice making your own and knowing what went into it, or what didn't go into it. I like the simplicity of kief and no solvents. Ice hash is nice/clean too but I find a better return and more flexibility with kief for edibles.

Another bonus with growing your own is the finger hash, terps smell just like the original strain. I like burping the jar as much as smoking it.

I also think you are correct I just enjoy using the "rears it ugly head" phrase, but always in jest, or satire. With so few plants I do not imagine I will see much finger hash though.

Ya...just jokin... it was late and iwas pretty heavily medicated when i wrote that...lol

Seemed funnier then than it does now though.... so i better watch myself...

No problem here, I thought it was funny as shit and took it as a compliment and thanks :)

Liking one of those Panama's I have going in there now and pulled a male that will finish in a week to hit it with :)

We had something called Panama Red out here back in the late 80s. Around the same time we had the Thai stick going around. And i liked the Panama better...

This is ACE's Panama, it's a cross of 2 lines of 100% sativas from Panama & Columbia and supposed to put out about 1/2 with red hairs, similar to the old Panama Red we used to get in the 70's. Plan is to use it as one of a couple of sativas that will eventually be crossed with some other pure indicas from Afghan & Pakistan to re-create some classic strains for my stash :) Fuck JT and his LP cronies.

The "Panama Red" we were smoking in the late 70's / early eighties kinda tasted like dirt...(and contained about the same level of thc as dirt!)

Really? I loved what we had up here for Panama Red. Maybe that was just a name slapped onto whatever.

Or maybe it was the other way around? Maybe somebody slapped that name on some mexican brickshit weed they were selling you guys? Lol

We were young and stupid and didn't know shit. They could call it anything to make it sound good! Low grade pot worked great when I didn't know any better.
