Kicking off a 6 month grow break with the widow.

My buddy ordered some with window seeds and ended up not using them all so after a long break of not growing and feeling bored I decided it was time to give it a go again. I was growing in a self built bubbleponic system. I decided to go a little differnet this time. I am going with a 12 site aero system that I have built and still fine tuning.
- 1 4ft 4 blub t5
- 1 600 watt hps
- 600 gph pump and 15 360 degree sprayers
- 1x1x1 rockwool cubes
- Silica stones

Not to sure on what I am going to do about the timer yet. I think I am going to go with a 30 min on 30 min off.

i am using the paper towel method to root the seeds and then in a dome till they have a good root system. Then to the aero system. I have been doing two rooms and it ended up taking up to much space to I think I will just stick to the one room and harvest every 3 months instead of every 2.

Sense this is my first time using aero system any comments, questions, or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Sick shit dude! what this thing called?
Ok this is what i wanted to try to use next !
how does this work?
and you can grow full plants start to finish in there?

The 600gph pump will supply all 3 tubes (1 per line) and there it is forced thew the 16 sprayers supplying water to the roots. Now normally they would just drain back in the direction of the res. I went a little bit of a different way and I have the water flow way from the pump making more of an even amount of water to each plant. The end is caped and routed back to the res.

I will be growing in the one system from start to finish. I thought about doing two room (veg and flower) but i think 12 plants every 3 months will work for me. If I was going to do two rooms I would have to change the lights or find a way to put rollers on the bottom. Not the best idea, a lot of stuff to move.

what does the line with the 16 sprayers look like
is it just a hose with 16 novels on it in side the tube?
but under the black pots?
sorry for the questions but i could never get good info on this type of grow
also whats the size of this high and long ?

No problem at all. They are set up 1/2 way between the pots. I wanted to make sure I didnt drown the plants.

Sorry for the pic it is hard to take.

These are the nuts that I am going to be using. GH 3 part.
I do have Fox Farm that I was using for past hydro grows but after using for 3 months I found that it was more of a pane keeping the nuts mixed in the res. The organic nuts would clump together. Even adding a pump just to circulate the res. it would still find a little corner to clump up.

It main use is to flush the plants about a week before harvest to get ride of the nute taste in the bud. Its also great to run in the system help break down the salts. I usually run it threw the system with I switch from veg to flowering. I love the stuff.

Update.

Well at this point I have had 2 babies out of the 12 that did not make it.
Being that i am really just looking for a mother im not to worried on how many make it just that I find a mother.

They have been in the aero for about 5 days now and the 10 that are left are looking great.

Did a fully res clean and change.

Cant wait to see how many females I do end up with

As of right now I have added my 400w HPS to the mix. The 4 4ft t5s are just not enough. So in the mean time I will keep it like this till I can afford another 4fter 5t setup that will sit right beside the one I have now.

Photo update. Tomorrow a res change and clean.

Fully res change and clean today. Went with a Growth nute mix, aggressive next week.
I have found that my res temps are running a little high, around 75-80. I would like to get it lower than 70. I really didnt want to go with a chiller being that they are really expensive. Im going to have to think of something though.

On your timer you might find the 1 min ON...4 min OFF works great...
I use a system i put together quite few years back and these settings worked well for me...(in pic)
Water temp (res) is a determining factor with aero...65*-68*..makes a huge difference!
Happy Growing!!!
