Hey, I am asking for some input/suggestions, feelings, your thoughts and potential ways to proceed from here. If you want to read some cool stuff, I would appreciate it, otherwise if you would just like to help me by sharing about what I am asking about, scroll to the bolded portions. Thank you.
She is Skunk #1 (just to review), and from a bag seed that came from an organic outdoor harvest. I am not sure the precise genetics, lineage or breeder from which this particular pheno of Skunk #1 is from, but I do know that there were a few phenos of Skunk #1 overall in the flowers I got. (What I mean is, the total amount of Skunk #1 flowers I had was obviously a mix of different Skunk #1 plants from the same harvest, and I could see variations throughout the flowers representing the different phenotypes of Skunk #1). So I do not know the specifics on how this Pheno of Skunk #1 likes to grow or any in depth information I might be able to look up that, let's say I knew the specific Breeder of this particular phenotype of Skunk #1 that the seed came from, I might be able to search out *specific breeders name* skunk #1 strain review, or something along those lines and I might pull up some results or personal experiences that could help. Just some thoughts.
Signs of being female first showed on March 11th, white hairs, and I turned the lights to 12/12 on the 14th.
I'd think to add a week (from changing lights to 12/12 on the 14th), for "flowering" to actually get going, so I will say that "flowering" started on the 21st of March, which would make this the middle of week 9.
"Flowering", may have started earlier, or even a few days later than what I am thinking, but I feel that 7 days from changing the lights to 12/12, and 10 days from showing her first sings of being female, are safe enough numbers to be close.
My next part is, I think I stopped feeding a week or two *too* soon, but possibly not. I have not fed any sort of bloom or flower feed mix for two weeks, it has been the flush mix, which is a Liquid Bone Meal (0-10-0), and a Carbon Phosphate (0-0.5.0). Small amounts, less than what the full flush mix for 1gallon of water is, mainly because I do not have any type of pH up, and the full mix lowers the pH to the mid-low 5's, and I am going for 6.4
During these two weeks, she has continued to grow very well, overall flower development, density increase, swelling, flowers on all the nodes are filling in, lower nodes are putting out white hairs rapidly and filling in their stalks very nicely, everything from midway up is locking in really plump swelly, still putting out white hairs, which I like.
I am watering every other day, and the medium is coco connoisseur, coco fiber/peat moss based medium.
I did over feed, and I know this from the curling of leaves at the lower bud site portions of the main cola. A lot of the leaves have uncurled, and straightened out over these two weeks with just the flushing mix, but some are still curled. It has improved, and some of the best continued growth has been at those bud sites where the leaves were once or are still curled. She is also producing seeds, so I know overall flower development was affected by this. This does not concern or bother me, I just wanted to make note of its effects.
I have not done a heavy flushing, the kind where you pour lots of water through the medium, I have just been soil drenching with a respectable amount of run off each time, which I then throw outside to the front plant patch.
She is almost ready to go, I am sure she can stay up for a week or even a few more, cause she just keeps on growing.
My question now is, since I have already ceased the feedings for two weeks, and I kind of know what the best choice might be, but I wanted to ask anyways, how bad would it be to just keep going, not feeding her, and doing the flush/soil drenching for the remainder?
I've thought about watering in with this bloom enhancer I have, its for the middle and late part of bloom, and for the final fruiting/swelling period before you initiate flushing. It is called Bloom Khaos, and can be used as foliar feeding all throughout veg and the first part of flower before they start to set in, and then you go with watering it in as you like. I've had great success with the foliar application of Bloom Khaos, really stacked the lower nodes on her, I was out of Bloom Khaos for a bit over a month, and recently picked more up, so I was adding it to the food until I stopped the feedings.
But now, I am again thinking about giving her one more watering and feeding of just the Bloom Khaos, it basically just hyper activates/stimulates the plants roots to search out for any and all nourishment it can uptake, and then once its exhausted those resources, if you want it can help your plant absorb all the life in those feeder leaves for a really beautiful finish.
Anyways, I am about to mix the water, so any input would be appreciated.
