keeping it simple

I just want to say I'm done with the difficult way of cloning. I noticed how my mom just throws a cutting of her favorite plants in a cup of water and they always strike roots at about fifteen days. After losing a ton of clones all the time I tried this 2 cycles ago and it works perfectly and it's a lot cleaner too. no dome needed I just throw em in a cup and they start showing root signs in 7 days and then develope in another 7-8 at least with the strains I have now. Very simple.

I was actually thinking about this and doing this the other day. It took my cuttings a month to show roots with rooting gel and I realized roots will grow once the stem absorbs a lot of water. I recommend trying this. Take your cuttings and put in water for a few days, then take out and put in rooting gel/powder. This is what I will be trying next time I have to clone.

Yeah i was thinking about that method myself because after a few days the stem area swelled from the water absorption and then roots. But yeah either way I'm sure we can agree alot cleaner and easier the the popular method

I tried this for the same reason - it worked for Mom. I finally got a single long white root after nearly 3 weeks. The cutting was KSG, one of the easiest to clone, and they root at 7-8 days always as clones. So I gave up on Mom's secret. BigSteve.

just about 100% success rate with this method. Best to keep on a window sill behind some "frosted" glass till roots show.

Well for me it's ok if it takes 2-3 weeks because I don't use mother plants I just clone when I put the next ones on 12/12. I don't need 5-6 weeks of veg time.

yea this works great but just a few things I have found with cloning... gel works better in hydro, powder in soil. knock off the excess powder if using it.... I clone straight into pro mix works every time I encourage you all to try improving rather than taking the easy way out.. you just haven't found your sweet spot yet. for me it's 80 degrees powder pro mix ddome and leave alone. pop off the dome once a day. they never wilt, they always root, they are growing again in 2 weeks.
