Keep your electric bill low - Tips

I live in the south, where my electric bill is slowly going up as the days grow hotter! Those are some great tips. I also recommend making sure your windows are properly cocked and sealed. Also using weatherstripping in doorways is an easy way of keeping the cool in and the heat out. I didn't read through the 900+ post, so it's probably been mentioned somewhere in here! Cheers.

Feit electric has a new bulb that they sell for under 5$. Its a 2watt 170 lumen bulb. I replaced a few 60w incandecents with them, and use them in things like my garage door opener that has a light that stays on for a while after opening or closing. The 2w bulbs pay for themselves pretty quick.
