24" No low temps, on the Gulf Coast! Will probably spring for a second light down the road.
First one looking again looks like wonky genetics. Try adding a root stimulant instead of just water. Really helps improve the vegging phase.

Try dropping the light a couple of inches every few days and note the plant. Could probably get away with 18’ but I don’t know 100%

Sometimes autoflowers throw unknown factors in growth …. That Rudrealis component can cause strange growth , dud , stall or grow mutant characteristics. Yours is a weak cross - those “ pods “ are female pistillate calyx , reminiscent of Grinspoon strain ( sativa ).

Just like those ugly ass freak show strains - some growers like it. IMO dump it.

HSO BD autos are good - as are many others. For BD - I would stick with photo. You can even run a reg photo under 12/12 like an auto to have a plant that is a little easier to control size.

18ft?! Lol

After 60 years of gardening vegetables and flowers, taught by my old Grandad, forget watering meters and electronic gizmos. Just stick yer finger in the soil up to the 2nd or third knuckle. If your finger comes out with damp dirt stuck to it then you're doing fine with the watering. But if your finger comes out feeling dry with no soil stuck to it, then the plant needs water. Check every day in summer and every other day inn cooler weather. Growing weed is simple but people complicate it with crap. Growing weed isn't much different to growing vegetables. It's a weed FFS!!

You still have to balance tap water ph, correct?
Meh. The soil should have microbes working to keep your Ph in check. As long as you're not below, 4 or above 8 to start with, your microbes should handle it. Mother Nature doesn't Ph her water and when growing in soil, that's the part you're playing. If you're giving them distilled or R.O. water all your doing is stripping out nutrients. Just use tap.

Thanks, tap is around 7.3 most times. Speaking with Fox Farms last year they said that the crushed oyster shells in the mix keep the soil at the correct ph. They walked me through a soil test. They said that testing the water coming out of the bottom of the grow bag is not an accurate check due to the crushed shells. Their way to test was to make two separate slurries with different amounts of water and Happy Frog, checking the ph in each and that would give a more accurate reading of the soil ph. Cannot find my e-mail from them so I don't remember the last step but they were tremendously helpful, as are the people on this forum!! I didn't think to ask about the need to balance the water tho. Now, that I will be watering more often I'll stop getting the distilled. ;)

With phones being capable of 64 mp, I've heard dslr's might get a run for their money. Technology is wild.
Megapixels aren't the solve all for a good camera. its all about Aperture / F-Stop, Iso Sensitivity, etc. Not only that, you need a skilled photog to dial in those settings. Composing the shots etc. Just cause someone's phone has a trillion MPs doesn't make it a good camera. Just means its going to clog up your storage with 18mb blurry photos of your cats.

Try to take this with a phone and then blow it up to 24 x 36, frame it and hang it on your wall. ;)

I use RO water and always put Roots Organics Bio-Force Mycorrhizae in my water everytime i water. I never do check water PH. and never do check soil PH. The microbes will adjust the PH in the soil for you. Just so long you dont dry out the soil all the way and keep it moist so the microbes can keep working for you. They go dormant when the soil dries out. I only top dress and water with only 10% max of the soil volume once a week. This one is in a 15 gallon and gets 3/4 - 1 gallon of water once a week. making sure theres no run-off. If you’re using RO water it will strip nutrients and micronutrients away if you water to a run-off.
Also it only gets 2-3 hours of direct morning sunlight since seed. Once the sun goes over my balcony roof at 10a.m. she gets no direct sunlight and is in the shade the rest of the day until the sun goes down.

That photo is gorgeous.

I know right!

Try taking a picture of a car with inconsistent speed and a shutter speed of 1/20

or better yet try a 30 second exposure, during a storm, at an elevation of 150' off the ground..... (my P4P+ drone)

But yea, cellphones are going to give actual cameras a run for their money :-P
