Kajak’s Cabinet - 4 small plants. Coco/livingsoils

i have never done any sort of journal before, but thought it would be fun to document my run since it happens rarely. I could gain new knowledge as I’m not a pro - only had couple runs before and I think only one in the current setup.


I have put 2 seeds in small coco pots, strains are unknown as I purchased them ages ago and lost labels. Nothing fancy unfortunately. I believe they are feminized auto flowers.

i’ve not got a big space, i’ve recycled this cabinet and made into a grow box some time ago. The lights are some 150w leds, they worked better than my old mars hydro 300(very old lights from my dear Polish friend that I bought from him 5years ago)
Ac infinity fan with carbon filter, two intake holes and two fans.

Couple of questions before I begin with this journey
Previous run consisted of one plant in a big pot. Would that be better than 4 small pots with untrained ( probably just trimmed/lollipopped) plants?
I have Canna coco a+b aand rhizotonic. I plan on buying cannazyme and cannaboost and have run with that.
i do also have living soils that I could use with coco or soil.
I could actually just do 4 pots with different mediums and document that, see what happens.

Seeds been planted today. I will update once they sprout. I will also clean up the space, do the wiring and clean up the light leaks as I’ve not opened the box in months.

Update

Two plants were planted about a week ago, only one got through as the second one collapsed at the bottom. Wasn’t meant to be.

Decided to rock with just one plant, might add couple solo cups later on in the grow if I feel like it.
At the moment, the sprouted ~week old, got transplanted to a final, 5 gallon(i suppose?) pot.

Inside said pot I have mixed old soil, that was used for the previous grow. I mixed in:
5 spoons of barley,
5 spoons of Grow,
5 spoons of wormcast,

to be honest, didn’t really measure anything, will try to wing it and see how the plant turns out.
My previous plants definitely had too little food, so if that plant gets too much, I’ll roll with it.
I have the rest of the living soil food such as Bloom, Bloom2, Reaper, if anyone has any more recommendations, please

Added a about 25% coco, mixed everything well.

made mixture with half a spoon of rhizotonic for about 500ml and poured 3/4 on the soil. After about 2/4h, I transplanted the plant and poured the rest of the mixture.

i set up the box again, put it on 16/8 and will increase the day time with time.

Niiiice. Yea anything less than 2x2 foot is totally cab growing. Heres a link to my journal I did 3 runs in it. Its 15 inches by 15 inches space just about. Did soil and drain to waste coco. One solo cup grow.


I have a dresser top tent about 15 inch by 27 inch roughly. Its full of light leaks but its working to flower so far so I wouldnt stress it. Takes a lot of ppfd for photosynthises.

Just some ideas what to expect in small space. Thats an awesome cabinet you got there! Totally love to see those.

Wow, they look healthy! That’s definitely smaller place, hight wise. I had similar box before that I try to sell at the moment, but got good results in it! I like your wash setup, I’m not educated enough about what and when to use when it comes to hydro/coco (well no idea what im doing in soil either, but I ‘follow’ instructions on the package of living soils haha). Heading to check your journal now!

I only did soil a few times it was tough. I do drain to waste coco its easy to set up and consistant results easier to diagnose/solve issues very universal. The reservoir and drip system can be intimidating but if I can do it anyone can lol.

Im not handy like that. Any questions or trouble, this site will help with. They say mileage will vary its true but that was how I succeeded. I get issues but still make it to the end pretty ok.
