Just threw my plant into to flower?

I just threw my plant thats about 17"in height and already threw it into flower couple days ago..it already had showed female preflowers, the plant topped itself somehow early in its life ands its in a v shape already.. I have taken clones, but from the bottom of the plant only and planning to veg them for a while before flowering.. so my question is could I take two clones from the top of the plant now and throw those straight into the flower cabinet?
Or do I have to wait for them to root(in my veg cab thats on 18/6 cycle 5500k) and then back to flower?Or could the clones go straight to flower cab(12/12 cycle) as soon as I take em and maybe have em in sometype of humidity dome?.

So should I take clones from the tops?? or just leave as is and wait for the other clones I took to get bigger in size

anyone?? if I top know will it severely stress my plant?

gotta veg for atleast a week. two or three would be better but its gotta root first

if your wanting to top just for the clone the don't do that.. take your clone from the lower branches. now if you have to top a plant due to hight issuse then ya go ahead and cut far enough down haveing enough nodes to dip in the rooting solution but cut right on a node...
