just some questions about cloning, need some info

1. if i took a cutting from a branch above a node for rooting, can i still cut the lower part of this branch to use as a clone too? will this lower part of the branch have two tops? and will it be ok to do so?

2. i noticed after i harvesting the lowest nodes on the main stems of two plants were still alive and kickin they were about 3-3.5inches with and without pistils can i root those branches? i left them in the pot and watered them as usual and they kept growin new leaves from 2-3.5 inches

3. pros and cons when using peat pellets for rooting and should i take off the mesh that supports it before it grows roots or after?

1.I haven't tried, so IDK.

2. Yes. Re-cut the tips at a 45 degree angle, use rooting paste/gel/liquid and plant them in net pots. They will grow new roots. It takes a while for them to kick back into grow again though.

3. Leave the netting. It just breaks down.

Yes, you can use a branch multiple times as long as there is at least one leaf and a growing shoot (possibly strain dependent). Just had some success in a bubbler with a few cut that way. As for multiple tops I believe that is age/strain related, once they mature the leafs and branches become offset.

As for your harvested plants you can just put them back under 16-18-24hr light, raise the lights, might want to give them low dose nutes if you flushed before harvest. I have seen them come back having only one small leaf, but it depends on how good the soil is, how much room/light you have, and usually good to transplant so size of pot is also an issue. Yield may decrease some.

Made my first clone attempt yesterday. First clipping....LOL...I`ve done everything I know to do from my reading and watching. Your question is a good one if I am understanding it correctly. Something many nubes such as myself may run into down the road ya know. Hope you get a variety of answers or explanations so I can learn more about this cloning thing.

I cut her from the strongest secondary growth tip of NL#1 with a razor. I soaked her stem in water about 5 min while I mixed some growth hormone in a shot glass. I used Bontone root powder and enough water to make a thick paste. I scrapped the stem an inch and coated her real good in hormones. Then I put her in my premade hole in promix. Firmed the soil around her and misted her and the humidity dome.

I used Bontone rooting powder. You can find at most stores. It is cheap and works.
