Just some advise

Nice work on the harvest and jarred buds! Now it's time to play the waiting game. Typically, it takes a few hours to a day for the humidity to settle and give you a true reading. As for the hygrometer probe, stick it right in the middle of the jar, surrounded by your precious buds. That way, you'll get a good idea of the overall humidity. Keep an eye on those readings and make sure the humidity stays in the sweet spot for curing.

I looked up that device. The probe measures temperature only. Just put the entire device inside the jar.

Am new to it mate so just trying to follow guides
You also dont want to leave the bud jarred up too long if its not dey enough, id check it after the first hour to see if the nugs are moist, if it feels too moist to roll up a joint then toss them out for a couple of minutes

To wet means it needs some air. Too dry and you can recover with a moist cotton ball. It is an art.

Small connoisseur growers learn. Big farms don't care. That's why most of us that know better stay away from dispens.

What I do with jars of buds:

Flip the jar upside down. .. do the buds stay clumped and most if any of the buds do not fall? --keep burping once or twice a day. Tumble the jar on its side to "stir" the buds, pop the lid & take a big whiff of the jar, put the lid back on & flip upside down again. .. you should see the buds fall more freely. That's what you're looking for as to when to stop burping, and the moisture in the jar should be spot-on at this point.

My 2 cents? I don't worry too much about the actual humidity in the jar, for me the "clumping" of the buds is a telltale sign they still need to lose some moisture. For me, 62% is too wet anyway, back when I did measure jar RH I found the sweet spot for smokable buds was more like 55-ish.
