i planted 6 beans 3 days ago in regular MG garden soil, under 2-32w 6500k bulbs, the temp stays between 75-80, humidity at about 28-30, have them under 24/0, just added perlite and bat guano to the garden soil, and germed 8 more beans of white rhino and have them in 16 oz cups, under the same light just today. also have clear wrap over the cups for added moisture. should i keep the lights still at 24/0 or should i got with 20/4. out of the 6 beans i planted a few days ago i got 3 that sprouted about 1/2" to1" above soil. any suggestions on what i should do ? my 1st grow ever........

I kept mine on 24/0 until I transplanted into the actual pots and swapped the light out from CFL to HID. Once this occurred, I switched the lighting to 18/6. I've read that this makes the flowering transition easier and less stressful on the plants. I've been seeing fantastic results so far, check out my journal for details.

number 1. why on earth did u put guano juice in your soil if you have seedlings (good bye seedslings , *wave*)
number 2. mg soil is crap because it has added fertilizer , u dont want that. u want to be able to add the fertz when your plants are big enuff to handle them.the more u water the more your going to burn your seedlings now so unless you transplant to different soil go easy on the watering(once every 3-4 days depending on pot size) or u will burn them.
with the cling wrap keep it on until your plants pop thru the soil then take it off and then turn your lights on.

Get a soft sterilized pot soil or compost with no nutes in it. Mix the mg into it 1-2 and you will be fine. The nutes in mg will last about 2 weeks then wait 2 weeks then add needed nutes. It's working for my buddy great got 3 scrog growing beautifully 3 weeks into flower

And your ladies may live so don't count them out. If you haven't watered them and nees to then flush the fuck out of it. It may save them but chances are low.

That's still a lot of stress. But do what you got to do if you transplant them bury them down to about 3 inches between first leaf and soil.

nice.......hey you guys think it would be cool to use clf's instead of the shoplight once i transplant into bigger pots, like say 6 (2 on top, 2 on both sides) what would be a good wattage alltogether ?

but for vegging is it safe for the 2-32w 65ook bulbs ?

i wouldnt go as far as sayin "good" but it will work through vegg. no doubt
i used ONE 18 W CFL to feed my plants the first week so

Your 2 32 watt 6500ks will suffice for the first week or so of veg, but I would recommend more light (gotta have those lumens). Add 1 or 2 maybe 27 watt 2700ks too, it helps balance the light spectrum.

Yes, CFLs work fine for flowering too, just throughout the entire life cycle, keep the lights within 4" of the plant without touching, helps keep the plant from stretching. Stretchy plants = looser fluffier bud.

You probably want at least 50 watts per sq. foot once your plant is about 1 month old.

We are here to help, theres a humongous amount of knowledge on this forum. Ask away!

well i just turned on the cfl's 2-23w 2700k bulbs. ill try and take pics of what im working with and hope to get some opinions and knowledge from it.....gotta find my cord......right now im at 77degrees and 33%.....when i need to start adding nutes what kind should i use ? what about water ? right now im using tap water that i had set out for a good day.......i use a spray bottle to moisten the plants when top soil looks dry, cup feels light ?

im usin a 125 W CFl 6500 K for flowering. 2700 K is optimal, but hey, lets see if it works?
i aint worried. bottomline, its a weed. it grows regardless whatchu do. it may grow good and have badass buds, or it will grow bummy.
its up to the growers knowledge and wallet i say!

Until they sprout, just keep the soil moist. Once they sprout, only water once they get droopy. It helps them grow, by stretching the roots out, making them get all available water. You shouldnt add nutes until about 2 weeks of age.

Like I said, 6500k is ideal for veg, maybe with 1 2700k, but hey. Itll grow one way or another.

How far away from the soil are your lights? Once they babes sprout, keep CFL's between 1" and 6" away, otherwise your plant stretches (stretched plants = loose fluffy bud).

Keep us posted!
