Alright so ive had these two plants and theyve been getting pretty big. They're probably about 2-3 ft tall, and almost everything looks good. Some of the leaves were starting to curl down a little bit. but after we transplanted them into a bigger pot and moved them itno a more closed area, i think it fixed them. Im using like 4 Cfl's not sure on the wattage they're prett big tho, yout hink that'll hold me over? Small hairs are starting to grow by where the nodes take off. So when do i know when i need to start flowering? Hopefully by then i will have my ballast for a 400 watt hps. I also need to know that because im gonna need them to be flowered by around mid november. how long you think it'll take a plant to bud from some cfls? 400 watt hps? Thats basically it. Any replies are helpful. Peace

Well the cfls wont be enough to flower unless they are like the actual 200 or 300 watt bulbs which are like 18 inches long and youd need alot of smaller cfls like 10 per plant to do any budding. You can flower anytime you like depends on your grow area height as you have to remember plants double or triple at least in height so figure 3 foot plants will end at 6-9 feet higher with sativas. The 400 watt hps would be plenty with extra.

you don't need 3 18" cfls for flowering... or at all... it'd certainly be nice but not at all necessary. But yes, the HPS is a much better idea imo.

Alright, Im a newbie to this all, but had a few questions.
This guy told me to start my plants out under florescent lights, then switch to HPS because florOs do better for beginning vegetation???

I was just hoping to start out under the HPS?

One more question, i have an 200 watt HPS, How many plants should i grow?
Its a 5 by 12 closet?? please help.
