Just moved to OR looking for a little help.

Hello all! A bit about myself: I am a moderately accomplished indoor grower from midwest (about 7 cycles of experience with approx 21 strains maintaining about 100 +/- 15 plants, at a time, in SOG). I used soil and nearly all organic liquid nutes by the end of my experience. I am very interested in TLO. I have recently moved to NE OR and am interested in getting started here in compliance with OMMP limits and rules.Currently, I am not actively growing at all. I do still have almost all of my equipment and a variety of genetics (HB (not 707),Cataract, Crit+, LSD, Bubble Cheese, SLEESTACK, Greenhouse, TGA, CC, and lots of F1s [some F2s made from a Blackwater Male I kept] to name some).

I am looking to get some dialog started with nearbye growers. I need help finding a Dr, I want to discuss med card, aspects of Affirmative defence, pros and cons of registration etc. I can thouruoghly respect requirements for discretion and expect the same.

Anyones time would be greatly appreciated

Oh man, hope you didn't move to La Grande/Pendelton lol. I'm from eastern Oregon but just moved out to a different part of the state.
Anyways depending where you are your resources may be limited. Having been from eastern Oregon I chose to make the trek to The Dalles in order to see a doctor at a MAMAs clinic. I suggest you look them up they are also found in Portland and I've had many friends use them, just happened to renew a couple weeks ago actually. What TGA gear you happen to have? I picked up some Chernobyl and Jillybean, hoping to squeeze them in on the next run if possible.

I have some chernobyl,Flav,& Plushberry, and Pennywise. Not a lot of them and I haven't popped those strains myself yet. I am aiming to do some breeding with Pennywise x Cannatonic in future as I am interested in CBD strains.

Hey, welcome to Oregon. Did you move to NE Portland or NE Or? There are more than a few clinics to go to if your in portland, the two main I would think are THCF and the Aurora Clinic.

Thanks for the welcome. I am in NE Or. So I realize I will have to travel to a doc. I am pretty self sustainable in this and actually chose NE OR for it's remoteness relative to my life outside MMJ.

Awesome, I'm really looking forward to Chernobyl. Had the lime sherbert pheno a few years ago and would love to grow it! CBD huh? I got a buddy who has a great cbd strain that is also very potent thc wise! Dead wood!
Well if you like things such as hunting, camping, fishing, and just related outdoor activities I'm sure you'll like the area. I just yearned to leave the area as I hate being in places so small. Everyone knows each other, the moment a new person enters town others notice, you can't go to the grocery store without seeing 5 people you know minimum. Say you make the trek across the river to Tri cities in washington (common place of shopping for the entire umatilla and morrow county) you are still VERY likely to encounter people you know even though you've traveled 40+ miles. I like the idea of other people actually being strangers and that area didn't offer it as the majority of people around have occupied the area for generations. Just something that I wasn't fond of.
Also hated how you don't have many resources to pick from. Between umatilla and morrow county there is one grow shop. Just one, and they know it. So guess what that means? They up charge because they know you don't have a choice if you want the product here and now. Don't get me wrong love the staff and am friends with the owner, but it is just the truth. Thats how small time living works.

I can do well in small towns. I am adept at staying a stranger in the nosiest of places. I grew up in MO where asking your neighbor his business would get your house burned down (and that is the law abiding neighbors LOL). So if that is all that is wrong with the area I can probably handle it. I would love to hear more about Dead Wood, feel free to private message me about it if you dont want info shared.

Long as you can do well with small towns you are fine.

I don't really know what to tell you about the strain other than that I am extremely fortunate to be able to say that I know someone who got their hands on it, and am now housing it in my garden as well. My buddy is actually awaiting the test results to return as he recently sent it in! I'll let you know what the numbers say.
But pretty much here is the marvelous plant that is deadwood (Sweet pink grapefruit x reversed bubba kush)

Mine is still in veg, just got transplanted to hydro so shes in the middle of recovery.
My buddy is going to bring me some of his latest flowers from her though within the next week or two so once she does I'll post shots of his so you can see that they look almost identical to that in the link above.
It is a great tasting and smelling plant. Strong piney/sour smell. Some people say it smells like chemdawg, while it smells more piney/sour to me it is certainly an overwhelmingly strong and pleasantly dank smell.

Very nice, I am a big fan of the bubba crosses and find that they suit my condition beautifully. I had a Big Buddah Seeds "Bubble Cheese" (bubba Kush x Bubblegum/Cheese) very strong bubba pheno that was very effective for me but its leaf to calyx ratio is horrendous and buds lack the Bubba nug density so I moved on. Still have some seeds from same pack but have other plans for the future right now. Been thinking about getting some ripped bubba to try, will see. I love me the piney terpene profile so would be very interested to see lab results.

There's just too many strains on the must try list for me ha. Bubba crosses are awesome though, I love bubba kush but can never seem to find it around. It has been far too long to say the least. I'll keep you posted on the test results! The ripped bubba looks awesome without a doubt. I would love to give most of the tga gear a try in general, it has all been great in my experiences with the flowers.

I'm the same way brother, I just moved rural from the big city and am loving the change, wish I would have done it sooner. Coming at a good time, hopefully there will be some law changes come 2014, being a grower I'm sure you can see the good and the bad though.
