Man a lot of things could have gone wrong.......don't be too devastated though, there is no such thing as bad experience. Sure 500$ went down the drain, but it wasn't all for nothing. Go back through your grow and think of what you did along the way, ask yourself what you could have done better and try to learn something from it, unless you plan on making the same mistakes again.
Oh and go back to soil grows
My first grow set me back 3k$ and I had nothing to show for it.....had to resell my equipment for almost nothing....man was I stupid. But the lessons learned will be worth more than 3K$ down the road
