I just chopped my white widow and she dried out at a little over 5 ounces. Was wondering if that was a good yield or if I could have done anything different. I had a 5 gal pot and used a 400 mh for veg.. Veg 6 weeks. I used a 400 mh for flower and flowered 11 weeks...I also used fox farm nutrients by the book. Any thoughts? Thanks

That is one ounce over a quarter pound. Pretty good for one plant. Was it the only plant? You can try a scrog next time, that should get you more.

Is that 5 ounces wet or dried and cured? While I love White Widow, I have only been able to get less that 2 ounces a plant....so if your weight is dried and cured, you're doing great. If it's wet weight....well, you'll end up with about 1.5 ounces dried and cured.

with 6 week veg i usually pull about 3 ounces per plants dried and cured so that sounds like a good yield. grats on your smoke. i grow nirvana's white widow, well i did. running critical kush now and those things are veg'd 8 weeks and look like they are gonna be monsters. almost 3 weeks into flower about 4 foot tall and very bushy.

Irregardless, 5oz off one plant is good by anybodies standards. Most would be lucky to get two off a single plant.

So you got 5 ounces dry weight off of just ONE plant? That's actually a fantastic yield! I don't know what your situation is, but as someone above posted you would definitely benefit from a scrog type set up. I believe a 400 watt bulb is capable of covering a 3x3 sqft area right? So unless your one plant was 3x3sqft, you could have actually yielded a lot more with your set up! And if you're yielding 5oz off one plants you're obviously doing something right already! If I may offer some advice, take a look into SOG or SCROG techniques so that you can get the absolute most out of your light. You can fill a 3x3sqft area with that bulb, perhaps next time you can take one or two plants and fill up a 3x3 screen before you flip to 12/12? If I may also suggest looking into compost teas as well? Fresnofarmer posted some wonderful recipes somewhere on this site, google fresnofarmer compost tea and you should find it. Making your own compost teas are cheaper than nutrients and is 100% organic. Nice job on the harvest by the way, you should be quite proud!
