Just got a new light setup given to me....

to the more experienced growers, I was given a metal halide 175w bulb made by Venture. What would be the most that you could really grow under one of these lights, just the bulb and a small reflector shield? maybe one plant or so and then think of something else to add for flowering.... cause if im not mistaken theres not enough red in these blubs for flowering?..or at least its not ideal. any ideas guys, your input would be much appreciated.... kiss-ass

oh yeah and obviously have the correct ballast for it, nice little jobby with a switch...

Honestly, you can grow an entire harvest from veg to flower under flourescents. I don't see why you couldn't use the light you were given. I wouldn't go more than a 4x4 area max and I would only grow my plants to be about 12 - 14 inches tall (no taller) before switching to 12/12 lighting schedule. Good luck.

you cant really flower unless u have hps or cfls or florescent and i would grow 2 plants max.
