I am just wanting to confirm what I have been reading. Or at least the general consensus. I have a plant, actually 2 but only one is really growing good, but I am only concerned with the good one in this post. They both were planted on 7/15 so tomorrow it will be exactly 3 weeks old. It is 5 to 5 1/2 inches tall and now has 7 fingers.
I plan on cloning. Should I wait until the branches start alternating or is now good to take a clipping? How much longer will it be before they start alternating? I still dont know what the sex is yet, which is another reason I would like to take a clipping and see. But for the sake of the room I have, I would like to take the clone after harvest, if it turns out to be female. I just dont really have room to keep a mother. Never the less, I have a couple other options I can investigate, but becomes a pain in my ass if I go with them.
After one more week I plan on starting nutes, as I have determined here that 30 days is when that is started. How long should I feed them before flipping to 12/12? By my calculations of my grow area I can let it get to about 14 inches. I am getting some stuff today to start LST, because this to me seems like a very compact plant.
Man, I am trying very hard to be patient, I have found that growing is the easy part, patience is the hard part.
. I havent screwed anything up too bad yet that wasnt fixable. I am just a little anxious to start seeing some bud.
I have thought about switching to 12/12 in about 2 weeks, but it seems like it may be a little early considering the height now, and the potential height I can let it get to. But then again, in 2 weeks it could have a spurt and be growing out of the box.
