I worked with a German born guy for a while who would bring Limburger to work. (His dad owned a butcher shop.) I tried it but it was hard getting past the scent.

The guy was pretty cool, born in Germany in 1947 who came here at age 1, a Viet Nam vet who liked to tell war stories.

I'd always change the war story subject to WW II and tell him about my dad fighting in the South Pacific. And then I'd always ask, 'where did your dad fight in WW Il?' (of course his dad fought for Hitler's Germany in Russia, not that he had a choice in 1941.)

Made for some interesting conversations at work, for sure. Lol.
