You're growing in an AG so the last thing you want is more stem. Keeping your plants as low as possible will allow you to flower in your AG.

You urgently want to cover the holes in your AG where you don't have pods. Light in your reservoir will encourage growth of bacteria and other nasties.

As many have said, you would be wise to invest in an air pump. Just go to Big W, buy there 2 outlet aquarium airpump for around $15, and get 2 of their long bubblers, not the air stones, but the more expensive perforated rubber tubing so there wont be any powdery buildup in your AG pump from disintegrating airstone. All up won't be more than $25 and it will not only greatly decrease your chance of root rot, but will also provide more oxygen to your plants.

Next time you're in the big smoke, go to Ikea and get some of those lamps in the picture I posted. They can handle hig wattage globes, they are sturdy, and they are cheap. As I've said, it's hard to find lamps that will fit powerful CFLs, unless you know a spary who can whip you up a quick light fitting.

Hmm you look like you have a little yellowing in the tips of your leaves too. Have you checked your pH? Big W also sells aquarium pH testers and pH up and down. The testers are easy to use and will give you an accurate enough indication of your pH. pH up and down are just bi carb soda and an acidic powder, they're not dangerous and are easy to use. You fill up a clean bucket with your tap water, put one of your airstones from your AG into the bucket and leave it for 24hrs to allow the chlorine to evaporate. Then test your pH, and if it is much above 6.5 or below 5 then you'll want to add pH up or down accordingly to get it close to 5.5-6. Add 1/4-1/2 teaspoon of pH up or down to your water and give it a good stir with the airstone going too, then check your pH. Keep adjusting slowly until you get it where you want it. Once your pH is good, you're right to add the water to your AG reservoir knowing that your plants are getting clean oxygenated pHd water to facilitate the uptake of nutrients.

Nice!

kool as. so are the nutrients it came with the ph up and down thing? i really cant notice yellowing on the tips of the leaves wen i lok at them? funny thing happened. i must of missed some seeds in one of the pods and i found about 5 sprouts today. i pulled them out whole with tweezers. will that hurt my marijuana sprout? crossbreed hahaha, marijuana X basil
oh and my avatar is actually the wallpaper on my phone hehe. i love bud bongsmilie

yea i dont see any yellowing, a lil off green buts that about it, maybe a lil shocc from the transfer but they look good to me, i would suggest starting at 1/4 strength with your nutrients, wether i be the AG nute tabs or some other brand, like you said they were in soil and look old enought to take the nutes, after that tab they will look nice and full of green color

Well I might be seeing things :)

The nutrients that came in the AG are not made for growing weed. Obvously they will still work, weed grows in a variety of soils with a variety of nutrients naturally. The idea with your nutes is that you buy some purpose blended formulas to increase the yield from your plants. I would advise not using the AG nutes for very long, and at you current stage a 1/4-1/2 a tablet every week would be plenty.

My first AG grow had a few parsley or what not along for a ride, but I pulled them out and as was fine so no need to worry.

Well pH down is an acid, and pH up is a alkali. If you're pH is too high you want to add acidity to bring it down and vice versa. Just go to Big W and buy there pH kit and it will tell you what to do.

The light bulbs in your AG are around 5000k colour temperature, which is why the light is white with a faint blue tinge. If you want to harvest more per plant then you're going to have to go searching and find some good light fittings or get some custom made. The desk lamp solution I posted is the easiest way to go. The bulbs you need, the 48w cfls, are sold at Bunnings and you won't find them elsewhere easily.

ok so now im noticind tiny patches of a lighter green. it looks like somethin has dripped and dried onto the leaf but it stays there and wont wipe off. also can australians buy the extended arm for the AG?

not sure, might be easier to hang it your self, should come right out, any pics of the spots?

im guessing is it is ventilation or nute burn maybe? i dont have a fan at the moment. ok so ur gonna say thats dumb but let me share my situtation. im a 19 old chick with alot of straightie friends and im living in a house with my mate. my mates parents are complete staighties (wat we call peeps who dont break laws) and i cant have a big old hydro in a room or anythen because of risk them seeing it all. so i got the aerogarden and the only place i could put it was in my built in wardrobe. there is a perfect shelf that alows the arm to be lifted and iv covered all the walls with foil. i leave the door open during the night and leave all lights off and i also leave it open during the day sometimes. my aerogarden is set for going off at night and on during the day. and thats basically it. like i dont have a fan at all. i just thought that opening the door lots would give them oxygen they needed. my mate who nows bout it told me that a fan would make them stronger but arnt they gettin the same amount of oxgen either way? so thats it lol any help would be great xo
oh and SICC i must of posted before you so my pics are up the page a bit in case u havent noticed
