Just broke my 3 day old cfl :(

Looks like i wasted $30 Got a 125w 64k cfl 3 days ago, i went to move the light & my babys into there permanent room. When i hung my light up i didnt hang it right & it dropped My babys loved that I could see the difference it made in the few days it was around Gunna hav to find some money again Just thought i'd hav a smoke & come here to cry Saafe guys

Home Depot has a 4-pak of 100watt 5600k daylight cfl's for $10.
All 4 bulbs for $10. Your plants will love those as well!

He's talking 125 actual watts. The bulbs you are talking about are 100 watt equivalent , 23 actual watts.

Yeah they mention not storing in garbage, it leaks mercury gas(iirc) through the plastic bags, need to ventilate the room.

I did something very similar. My light had been in the tent a few days and I knocked it off from where it was hanging. Not only did I lose the light but a plant lost a few branches. Makes you feel like there was no point making the effort in the first place. Just learn though, make sure you don't break another one (as I would imagine that would make one feel rather bloody stupid...yes, I did, but the second one lasted a fair while longer).

get about cm wide chain links chain it then pull it up either side till you get it where you want, then chain it off

better than i did once, so stoned dropped bag getting out of car, broke 2clfclf and a 1000hps all new in the boxbox.

make sure the bulb didnt break into the pots as the mercury inside could get into the medium meaning taken into your plants meaning if you smoke you get sick or die.

You've just made me not want to smoke the first plant ive flowerd

personally, I like using a lot of smaller bulbs, as the single bulb of a higher wattage is pretty much useless for the side and lower leaves.

I'd get it out of the room and out of the house asap. gloves,glasses,mask if you have.
