Actually.. Hobbes is correct.

In order to cause Decarboxylation it MUST be heated in the over to break the -COOH bond. This is done when preparing marijuana to be cooked as well. This process converts THCA > THC.

I am not sure what you are thinking.

I love the volcano but in my mind its not really worth the money, there are plenty of affordable vape options out there that get the job done without the ridiculous pricing. If you have the money and dont mind spending it, volcano or herbalaire are probably the best vaporizers just not the most cost effective ones. Peace!

I personal love it. Try going to the grocery store and buy some Turkey bags. They are alot bigger than the bags that come with it so you can fill up with alot more smoke. Make sure that it is nice and preheated and I use a grinder to make sure that it burns up all at the same time.

I use a minimal amount of Kush and smoke for about 1.5 hrs bag after bag, LOL I love my Volcano. And the Duff or whatever you want to call the left over, is garbage! it's all used up and just about as good as dirty bong water.

No I fill the bag 3 maybe 4 times then take the duff and toss it out and start fresh.
I just believe there is nothing left once it ran through a vaporizer and what little if any there is can not be worth the trouble to get to it.
U butane Extract the dredge? Do tell. I am always intrested in what others are doing, even if it's not for me.

Before the Volcano my wife and I where smoking 2-6 FAT joints a day, well then the weekend you can double that. Always Kind and nothing less. When we get down to the roach we just flush it down. Well a friend freaked and asked if we could save her the roaches being you can make a joint out of 3 R. So we did , we would just drop it in a small jar and give her the jar once a week. But that got to me, it looked like a "stoner mess" and I dis like that. So now I am back to toking and tossing.
And now she wants the duff, I say yuch and no.

After 3 or 4 runs I don't think you'd get enough honey oil from 2 cups of dregs to make the extraction pan sticky. If you can't get anything else with your Volcano I doubt that she's going to find the dregs useful.

I run a butane extraction once or twice a week on my dregs, make a tray of brownies with each extraction. Much better than boiling the dregs with butter. The brownies have no ash taste at all, taste like regular brownies.

I've read of people salvaging the resin from inside the volcano bags, I'm going to put a spray cap on a bottle of butane and try it with a few bags. Maybe turn the bags inside out and clean them with butane spray and then see if I can reuse them.

The 30" x 1/2" copper extractor holds about 1 cup (28 grams) of dregs.

I just don't get it personally. I can not see going through all that work for a lil high. Not everything posted above but like bags, really? I know to each is own and I don't mind leaving 1/2 joint roaches in someones elses ashtray, but as for scrapping pipes and all that stuff, it makes me think of High school and now crack attics.
Let me sure I make myself clear, just because it's not for me does not mean I look down on others that do this. I have a hippie friend that smokes dredge with her tobacco. I could never (don't smoke lOL). It's just off the wall what others would do for a high/head change.
I bought a small Kief box to see if I could figure a way to make kief fast and I did, just attach box to sander and let it do the shaking. Oh where was I? So I took a few choice buds, knocked off close to all the trichs (no more shinny) and then I tryed to smoke the bud, well the taste was so terrible, it had such a gamie flavor, like ordinary plant material. I could not lung it and figured that was what dredge might taste like. bongsmilie

I don't like to run my volcano bowl more than once, I find the second bag rank and it stinks up the bag and that ruins the first run of the next bowl. One run leaves a lot of resin in the dregs, with a butane run only the resin is washed through a double coffee filter. I make 1 tray of brownies from 1 cup of dregs, I usually have 2 or more cups a week. The brownies taste fantastic, only the slightest hint of honey oil, very potent.

I could not stomach running a volcano bowl 4 times, but if the resin inside the bag can be reclaimed and purified then I'll use it. Why waste perfectly good resin, it's like throwing out leaf before the time of bubble bags.

Buddahchron (that is one hard name to spell) how much clear air gets in your bag before the vapor starts? Do you pre-heat the bowl while the Volcano heats up? I always wait until I get a good run of vapor comming up before I attach the bag so I get the thickest bag, but I grow my own bud so I'm not that concerned about conserving all the vapor.

If you can make potent brownies that don't taste like ass, then more power to you ;-)
I love baking, it's the greatest longest high for me. When we go to a concert or comedy gig (just saw Cheech and Chong, Make it legal tour) we like to eat brownies and toke up before going in. :bigjoint:

GG I use to boil my dregs with butter, then refine the butter and it still tasted like ass. I went back to butane extraction and I'm making the best tasting and most potent brownies I've ever made. I run a pyrex brownie tray of honey oil; heat it in the oven for a few minutes; heat olive oil in the microwave and pour it in the tray; use a fork to mix all the HO into the olive oil; then pour the canna-oil into the brownie mix.

The whole procedure, from packing the extraction tube to putting the brownies in the oven to bake, takes about an hour.

Hey that sounds like an easy way of doing it plus taste better. I might try that method, but with fresh bud.

You wanna talk taste with the volcano try puttin some honey oil or earwax in that bitch....turn the temp to "420" and start filling bags...once you fill i bag hopefully everyone here has tried the ol' volcano bag in the freezer trick...if you havnt put a bag full of vapor in the freezer for like 30seconds to a minute then you ahvnt lived...shit is soooooo rediculous smooth and soothing on the throat with sme cold as vapor instead of hot vapor or better yet hot smoke! The volcano is an excellent tool of intoxication..i preffer dropping some oil ontop of herb in the laoding chamber for full effect...mmmmm cold vapor on my way to the freezer!
