Just a quick question

Has anybody ever left their roots intact whenever you turn your plants upside down?? If so, does it add to the flavor or take away? Just asking because I am wondering about doing lights out for 2 days, turn plant upside down for two days, then cut the roots and proceed with drying as normal? I just wanna get all that I can out of my girls.

you will have a hard time keeping dirt and stuff from getting all over your bud

and i think that all it would do is make the drying process take longer

because you would have to evaporate all of the water in the roots too

maybe you're on to a method for drying in extremely arid environments like the desert :P bongsmilie

Oh no I am in a bubbleponic setup so no dirt. I mean I dont mind it taking a bit longer to dry if it will help add to the flavor but idk if it will because I cant find anybody on here who has even tried it. Basically Im just wondering what will happen if you turn them upside down for a couple days, then when the roots have dried out I chop them off as normal and continue with the drying process.

nah dont waste your time, if anything might make your green taste worse. we harvest early in the morning./night because all the water and nutrients(moveable nutrients that is) are dropped down into the roots, so harvest in the morn or at n night and chop the roots off.

there used to be amyth about "boiling" the roots, but like most cases the crazy shit we come up with does nothing.

usually good to stick to conventional wisdom on this kind of thing

but hey, if you can't find anyone else saying they've tried it

you can call it science

and may even get good results

ever smell a fragrant plant in the morning? like a lilac. or a rose? smells better than in the late afternoon sun doesn't it? the molecules responsible for that are called terpenes. they are most noticable in the morning. preferably a cool one. cannabis is no different. harvest after a long dark period, like two days and your plants won't lose any taste/flavor/smell...all related.
