can anyone check out the following link for me
http://www.hydroponic-shop.com/produ...roducts_id=558

This is the sunmate that i have purchased, and it is 2x 55 watt cool tube fluoro. Is this powerful enough to start seedlings or even cuttings. Also could I use the power of this light for vegging and flowering. The idea is if i could do the whole thing from this light, then i would get a male to pollinate a female. Then i will be ok for a while with seeds!! Then buy an 8 pot wilma for the real fun to begin!! Any help would be grateful... Could I also changed one of the cool tubes for a warm white and use both a warm and cool tube at the same time whilst growing the male and female???

Again many thanks to all

i use a 2 x 55 watt cfl for the first two weeks of my grow but then i move them under mh/hps, intheory you could do a grow with your cfls but i dont think you'd get any huge growth and the time it would take would be lengthy so to be honest its fine for seedlings and cuttings, barely adequate for vegging and completely pointless for flowering. mite be ok to keep a mother though.

I dont think i have cfls just normal 2x55 watt fluoros. The only thing im worried about is the electric used if i use a hps light

i use cfl's all the way through clone to harvest. Use daylight cfl's (blue spectrum) during your vegg then when ready to move to flowering switch your bulbs to soft white cfl's (yellow spectrum) and you'll do fine. CFL's are great for more stealthy grows as well as cheaper in costs then hps all around. And by the way im looking at a decent yeild..... hope this helps man

I use cfl for clones/seedlings and I just invested in a 250 watt mh/hps digital ballast. all i can say is AWSOME. A 250 watt ballast is fairly cheap to run.... I bought mine off ebay for $140.00 and it came with reflector, mh bulb, hps bulb, timer and adjustable hangers.

I dont know about where you live, but here i pay around $20.00 for a single 40watt cfl. Then you need sockets and reflectors...that adds up. the only downfall is if you have heat issues....

You should consider investing in a small HID IMO. Good luck M8.:leaf:
