So i was walking through wal mart yesturday and i saw distilled water im just wondering if it would be a good, bad or pointless idea to use distilled water for my plants,, i already try to let my water sit for a day or so before i use it out of the tap just because i dont know about the levels my town uses to "purify" the water if any one has any information on this i would love to know, thanks again riu, Stevo404:joint:

not sure i have this fancy water filter that chan change the pH so i just run 7.0 through and it will filter the impuraties out. regular tap water is 7.0 so im sure if u buy any water filter u can use tap water

Many larger water utility companies publish their water quality, pH, tds etc online. The USGS also has a lot of info. concerning water hardness (calcium carbonate content)

I've always grown small scale so out of convienence of mixing nutes and the assurance of good water I buy distilled water I mean it's a buck at wal mart for a gal. Im sure you could get away with regular tap and I could be wasteing my time and money but I just go with the bottles. Unless of course your running up flights of stairs and need 10 gal at a time then I'd think about runnin a hose.
