Just a curious question about the "frost" that White Widow and other strains produce

This is my Belladonna. (Yes she's lovely...we are getting married on the 14th of July or so)

But other strains make this "white" powder as well (White Widow, White Russian, White Rhino...etc)--just wondering what it is.

I understand it's genetics...but besides beauty does it have an actual purpose? Do all MJ produce it...but we see as white dust with only certain strains?

Just curious??

think he was more concerned about the dark color. not necesarrily MORE trichs but i would guess genetics would cause them to turn a certain color. although i am kinda curious how some strains are purple =/

iam curious as well (aside from cold temps and MO def of course) but thats in the leaves. as for what the OP was asking, i am kinda curious as well. i mean, any strain that gets 'frosty' gets the same white frosty look as WW and other white strains. but if you let them sit, they slowly turn golden as the trichs change. does this happen in the white strains? do they just never make it to the amber stage? do people just harvest them before they get there? are there just more trichs over all?

in short, OP, iam wondering the same now.
