I've been watching Jungle Gold since it started about a month ago, do any of my other fellow RIUers watch it?
The first couple of episodes I kinda thought it was heading in the direction of being a boring pointless show about 2 guys George & Scott who are hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt looking to get rich quick. As I watched it more it kinda sucked me in now im hooked lol. They go through so much shit comapred to gold miners else where like the first few episodes they had beef with illegal chineese workers who stole there claim and threatened em with guns. Just about everythings done by hand with the help of a a tractor or 2. Now im not saying mining gold in like Alaska would be easy but they got shit on these african miners. The last episode I watched was on yesterday George & Scott were down to there last 35,000$ US so decided to meet some black market gold dealer in the middle of the African forest. End up making the deal with the guy bought 75,000$ US worth of gold for there last 35,000$. On there way back to town they encounter a road block and when they get out to move it there robbed by an armed gun man for the whole gold brick. They figure it was him who set him up.
I my self def believe the guy who sold them the gold set them up fooor sure. 1.) They mention he was harrasing them for months to buy as gold, couldn't he just have sold it to some one else if he wanted it gone that bad? 2.) When Scott when to buy the gold the dealer only wanted to sell them half of it but Scott hustled him into selling him the whole bar.
3.) Why wouldn't this gold dealer just meet them in town instead of in the middle of the forest?
Personally if it was me no way in f#*k would I be heading into the deep African bush to purchase 35K worth of gold. Not this guy haha.
Whats your guys thoughts about the show/situation?
