When I was in middle school and we had career day, I chose a firefighter. So I got to go to the fire station and me and this guy drove around to all of the schools installing those defibs that hang on the wall. I remember after the first few schools he started letting me open them up and put everything together on my own. It was a pretty neat experience.
(I know that's not the same kind you're talking about but this thread just brought back that memory. I'm glad your husband is okay though
