JR Peter's - Jacks Classic Dynamic Duo

Whats Up RIU...Been part of the community for awhile mostly reading and obtaining information from all you fellow gardeners out there. This is my first thread, and it is regarding my complete ideology change of plant growth/nutrients. I'll admit i was a fool when i started, we went medical in MI in 09 and I jumped right in with no prior experience in gardening or really growing anything.

I was a great target for the "GrowStores", if they said i needed it i would consider it. I started in a small office space using Fox Farm soil n nutes, running soil i 5gals and Dwc 16 site, as well as, a 0ne site dwc under scrog. After a year of trial and error we had good results and a successful intro to growing. Then i ventured off on my own and had the "organic" mindset. Started with Bio Canna ($$$) then evolved to Roots Organic, Earth Juice then a blend of many individual products making teas. Settled on Sub Cools Super soil and ACT feeding, really like "teaming with Microbes". After another few years of even better results i think i have over complicated the whole process. So after reading posts from many of you out there i am trying Jacks Dynamic Duo! Very Excited too as i have read a lot of good info. And they have been supplying ag & hort intustries for 50+ years, way before any medical or cannabis nute co started their marketing schemes.

As for my set up. My clone/teen room has Florescent light running 24/7, all plants in solo/starter cups (4in sq), 1gal and/or 2gal. Then they are up canned to 10gals and moved into my veg room (10x13) 2 - t5's and 3- 400w. They stay there for 3-4 weeks. Then move to my flower room, 10x25 with 6 - 600 w & 2- 1000 w hps air cooled and 3 ton ac. The room is pretty big i used to run 32 - 5 gal in a perpetual cycle (4 a week), now i will be reducing to 16 ten gals. sorry for the ramble

I have RO water (40ish ppm, 7.5 ph), I will follow with a water analysis. As many of you have said, start slow with jacks, seedling/clones 1/4 tsp gal JC 20-20-20. go up to 1/2 tsp as plants mature. then a mix of Jacks Classic (JC) and Blossom Booster (BB) for the initial stretch of flower then just BB at 1/2 tsp gallon.

So, i know there is no cal or mag in the feed, I will be using Sunshine #4 or promix, is it better to amend my soil with Dolomite lime and/or Oyster Shell Flower or should I supplement liquid Cal Mag when Feeding? I called JR Peters and they said that i shouldn't add Liquid Cal Mag to water with JC or BB. So if going that route should i alternate Feeding ?Jacks, Cal Mag, Jacks? They recommended foliage feeding Cal Nitrate.

Also, do any of you rotate feed and water or continuously feed? Do you Flush? Do you PH? Sorry for all the questions but i feel like im learning all over again. And as many of you say, " learn the Plants". I haven't been using my ph of ppm meter for some time. Any feed back would be great! Thanks and Happy gardening....

dolomite would be cheaper then liquid cal-mag. In soilless, you want to feed every time at low dose, in soil every other time. Flushing is for toilets. proper drying and curing is key.
always ph, but jack's should set your ph at 6.5

Dang, the word file gets readjusted every time i edit it. meq(-) is 1.30 and meq(+) is 1.27

Thanks Chuck, I appreciate the response. I have all three Cal Mag supplements....but i will prob just amend soil. Def Cheaper over the long term, dont need to be paying for water in the liquid form.

So i mixed up some feed tonite and noticed a few things. My RO water reads 7.8 ph, 50 pp,.1ec
after adding 1/2 tsp veg to a gal it was - 6.7ph, 140 ppm, .3ec
1/2 tsp Bloom to a gal was - 6.2ph, 390 ppm, .8ec

This seemed low to me so i fixed up some feed with my well water just to get a reading.
Well water reads 7.1ph, 460 ppm, .9ec
added 1/2 tsp veg to a gal - 6.9, 570ppm, 1.2ec
added 1/2 tsp bloom tp a gal -6.8ph, 810ppm, 1.6ec

Whats your thougts? Is the ro ppm too low? Would you consider using the well water...I am going to get a sample tested just to get the numbers.

I may be over thinking this, i could just use ro keep it low and have a continuous feed.

lemme know what ya'll think!
Thanks friends!
