You will have a limited growth size with a one gallon pot.
Light cycle is important: think of it as a man's sanity. If he wakes and up is up and down is down then he feels sane. If he wakes and up is left down is right then he questions his orientation to what he is to do.
Silly analogy but it may work yet.
Cannabis plants can remember when the sun will come up. I think any experienced gardener can back me up on this one. They know when it's time.
If we confuse them with light shifts then we can find that "*IF* they have the genetics to express male flowers ( and female pollen ) that erratic light schedules may signal them to go into that mode.
This is useful to find genetics with these Genes but can seem to be a problem for the new gardener who wishes to look honourable in the eyes of the On-line world.
So Do this.. Keep one light schedule. Have a fan moving cool fresh in and one blowing hot stale out ( I am assuming small fans ) like
FAN LINK I like these fans! That is high praise coming from me on fans.
Go with 3 gallon pots if you can or two gallon but the one gallon here is used for clone-keepers. Something I cut off of to keep a plant going.
On the Male flower parts. Well you may not want to breed with that plant but there is nothing to say that it won't smoke well!
So if you don't want seeds ( which can be non-hermi on the next Fn generation by the way ) then put on some mag-glasses and get a nice pair so small scissors or better buy a pair of ( OH do I ever love them ) FISKERS! and just snip off the offending flowers. No big deal.
Let me tell you something that took me years to learn. Some plants do well vegging on 14 hour days. Indica seems to do that. Then some flower on 14 hour days. Sativa seems to do that.
So 14/10 works here and in fact if it doesn't it doesn't make the cut.
Look I am here and I saw your handle ( that's the name of my domain ) so I wanted to meet ya. Feel Free to email me for advice. I think I can be of help.
We all love the fellowship! I dig the friends!
