Thanks dude, as for the lights I'm going to leave them thru the day and perhaps decide later tonight before lights out. As for the mylar, I had the entire roll for my last grow and really only used a tiny bit, I went with flat white for the most part last time and it was nice. Now the reflection of the Mylar is great but its a bit rough to get it perfectly straight and taunt which you can see wasn't my strong suit lol this could just be ME but I also feel that the mylar increases the temp slightly. It's not like foil but its also not like using white. I really like the looks of the Black/White poly but then again Mylar's been used for a long time for a reason.

You can always put the mylar inside yours in between cycles or just do it in small pieces one day side, one day top, etc, etc

Oh yeah dude, of course. But i've got grow room ADD right now. I have a budget, and a lot to do. I am out of medium, and am not sure what i want to do about that. I am going hempy, so my shopping list so far is 16 1 gallon buckets for like 35, 2cuft of perlite and vermiculite for 40, nutes for 35.00, and catch basin (sterilite under bed storage) for 16, and a jiffy greenhouse for cloning for about 18 i think., and i really want me some Sannies Seeds Blue Rocket and Jackberry 10 each for about 90 bucks. Oh, and with harvest comming up i need like 20 bucks in bova packs for the cure.

It seems like a lot to spend, but if all that gets me an few oz of blueberry type smoke once, around here thats 4-500 a zip.. Most of it will go for more then one grow.

Oh well, it will be worth it in the long run, and just typing the shopping list out makes me a little giddy.. heh

haha man (DB) I totally understand, for me I just have a never ending list. Everytime I cross something off I tend to end up just adding something else lol it's a vicious cycle ! You'll have to join GA - Growers Anonymous "Hi, my names FT and I'm addicted to adding shit to my grow room" lol .. What's a Bova Pack ? For cure I just have 2 nice air tight jars that I plan to keep the bud in and burp once a day for the first week or so. However if there's a faster way to cure, I'm ALL ears !!

I'm really praying that this plants a female so I can see what the smoke ends up being like as I've got oh I dunno 3/4 of a smaller pill bottle FULL of these seeds. Hopefully it doesn't suck as that'd be a perfect stock to use for my 12/12 plus I've still got my Hindu Kush seed kicking around.

Ok so a bit of an update for today. When I read the thread about organic feeding and teas I noticed they neglected to put one small disclaimer... Making teas and more specifically in tihs case the Banana tea SMELLS LIKE ASS !!! So disgusting, but hey if it helps my plant out in a more natural way and doesn't cost me much of anything I'm totally down. I noticed a 2nd tea I'm going to attempt to make in the next day or so since it has to be left for 10 days but it'll cover both P-K to add to my "veg nutes".

Paper Ash tea.
Origin: This powder is obtained from burned paper. make sure the paper has no pigments (inks), glues, adhesives, or plastic covering. just plain paper. the cheaper the stuff, the better.
Provides: 5% P and 2% K
Preparation: Burn the paper fully. Ground up the ash. 100g of ash mixed with 2 L of water. let sit 10 days, then filter.
Application: use every 15 days, mixed 1 part ash juice to 2 parts water.​

Once the banana tea cools to room temp, it just happened to pour today so I've got a nice mix of Rain Water, Banana Tea, & maybe 1/2 strength PB Grow.. It won't be a huge watering but substantial enough to last more than 2-3 days. Then I'll check on it ~1hr after watering to see any sort of reactions, to me I'm still seeing some off colouring in places and it's bothering me, so hopefully this feeding will help boost things up. Plants clearly doing well as it's been growing great the past week or two.

Anyway's enough blabbing, we'll see how the feeding goes with tomorrow morning's pics!

Boveda packs, formally humidipaks, are a 2 way humidity controlling substance. When used correctly they keep the relative humidity of the container at a specific level. They used to be used specifically for cigar humidors, then some folks got wise and started using the 65% packs to cure weed with. Since then the company has rebranded as Boveda and now has a line specifically for "Herbal Medicine" Boveda 62. Some marketing speak from their site:

Each Boveda consists of a specially prepared saturated solution of pure water and natural salt. This saturated solution is contained within a water-vapor permeable “reverse osmosis” membrane. Within a closed container Boveda maintains a predetermined level of (RH) by releasing or absorbing purified water-vapor, as needed, through the membrane.

So it is not so much a "speed" thing as an "Accuracy" thing. And since the RH is maintained both ways, you do not have to burp. Just seal it up and leave in a dark place. So i guess it could be also the "Lazy" thing ;). I figure two in each mason jar with some weed dried crispy for a month would make a decent cure.

Hmmm, very interesting. Pretty sure i've read about something similar at some point in the near recent future. The thought of curing makes my mind hurt, it's bad enough I have to wait for the plant to grow and mature but then to dry and FURTHER MORE wait for a proper cure. Hoping to have a nice cure in a week - two not month - two. However in the end it is what it is, I'll have a look see if any of the hydro shops around stock those or a similar product and maybe do a side by side 1 jar with them and 1 without, that is if I can even find them. I'm 100% for Lazy lol

i always smoke my meds after i cure for a couple days. im trying to really yellow out my plants before cutting, so i dont have so much nitrogen in the buds and sugar leaves

5 days hang dry, cut from stem and dry on a tray or paper for another 2-3 and then jar and burp, or if youre lazy and dont want to burp ziplock bag :)

thc bomb is currently in this process. i just cut her from stem and she weighs 17 grams. TERRIBEL RUN :( im used to ~30 grams a plant, im so mad that micromax burnt my plant during the stretch

they dry a lot faster when you cut them from the stems. also if plant is big turn it over and trim the stem from stalk to knock off lots of leaves at a time so you dont have to cut each blade

I totally forgot to ask, without sounding like a dick. How the hell would I know ? I mean I can usually see the diff Indica V Sativa but for a specific genetic line. That's awesome if it were NL mix but sadly I will never really know. Possibly this afternoon if I remember I'll post the story of how I got these seeds, they weren't just a few bag seeds, I've got probably 2-300 of em. So I hope it turns out well cause then I've got a nice stash of different pheno'd same strain.

Just to clarify for myself, your numbers are plants that are just 12/12 ? Or a full run with a bit of veg ? Not that I'd be upset with an oz a plant in 12/12 from seed at all !! I assume Micromax is a nutrient of some sort

Well, Well, Well ....Banana Tea....plant seemed to LOVE the addition of that to the feed yesterday. I know its not directly related but the majority of the still clawed tips even started to straighten out. It was wonderful to see this morning !! I'm going to be burning up some paper to make that tea today as well. So far it would appear the plant has begun to do a minor stretch BUT not up, no it's the side branches/shoots that have been clearly coming out in the pics the past week or so are now really starting to reach out, it's awesome. I'm really hoping that when SHE shows sex that those 2 almost 4 sites will end up being really nice buds too. Other than that all I've got to say is that the sight of orange I see every morning is really exciting !!! (talking about 2700k v 6500k)

beautiful. i just recognize how pretty the plant looks becuase my diesel has n.l. in it, and it makes it look just like this. its easy for me to pick out kush leaves/flowers, chemdawg leaves/flowers, skunk leaves/flowers (the easiest) and n.l. leaves/flowers.

well really be able to tell after the stretch (everyone looks and smells the same after puberty haha!) and then in bloom if you get a proper smell, well really be able to tell.

plant looks great..tons of growth. good work bro.

also yeah, micromax is the plastic coated slow release nutrients that miracle gro gives you in their products -_- i didnt realize i was burning my plants, i thought it was a cal/mag def so i fed even heavier, and ended up with even more issues. thc bomb was burnt/stunted in the stretch, so she didnt produce at all. i just jarred her if you wanna look at the journal. its an AMAZING smoke, the smoothest ive had becuase of a proper flushing.

I've put arrow's pointing to what I want to know the "thing" is.. looks like a bit of a bulb, not really sure what to call it.

Any ideas ?? Clearly not harmful but still would like to know !!

Afternoon Folks,

Sorry about the late update, decided to go fishing this morning before lights on ! So I've got some newer pics of growth for y'all. Scared I'm seeing the beginning of preflower balls but I'm sure it's just in my head it's only 4 days.. way too early for sex..right..... lol They needed more water so I gave them the end of the banana tea and the rest of my rain water today. That's really all there is for today ! Check ya at tomorrow mornings update !

Morning Folks,

So... how long does it take for a male to show ? We all know it's sooner than females (unless that's false info). I've got some what I'm sadly almost certain are the beginning of BALLS !!! My only hope is that some lovely pistils pop outta what I'm seeing in the coming days...otherwise, I took the gamble and lost lol Too make matters worse I had like 8 seeds germinating in some paper towel and not a single one has even remotely popped. I'm going to put 5 - 10 more into a different zip lock/paper towel mix and hope for those to pop. I hate when great things go bad, its just such a kick in the nuts. Here's some of today's photos the plants still looking awesome and healthy and is slowly growing vert, while still growing sideways with undergrowth. I'm planning to raise the lights up a bit today so that i can get a bit more vertical growth I'm pretty sure the top level of the plant is within my lights and not necessarily at the top. I also decided to take a picture outside of the grow environment so that you guys could have a look at the "true" colours of my plant n such, it looks quite nice even out of the orange glow. Should the plant end up being a dude, I'll let it grow out for a while, so i can perhaps collect some pollen to make seeds some where in the future, I'll also be using it to practice cloning, waste not right !!

I've read about growing them 12/12 from seed till they show sex and then switching them back to veg. I plan on doing that my next time around to avoid any time loss. Sorry to hear about the males :(

what a shame, that plant looks so happy. let me know if you get white pistils out of those bumps! they will usually show in 7 days, males in 6.

Thank you all... It's really sucky, but then again with mystery seeds already have a 50-50 shot, so to have only 1 plant, I was sure asking a lot. I'm still going to let the plant go for now, do hermies ever show up in reverse ? like ball first then pistil ? or is it always pistil then banana ? Probably just wishful thinking, but ya never know.

How do you folks germinate your seeds ? Personally I've been wetting a sheet of paper towel putting seeds in, folding over , place into a ziplock bag that's 80% closed and put in a warm (top of cable box, indirectly) covered to keep it darker than normal room light.

I'd like to put a bunch more to germinate, perhaps with a different technique, I was even considering putting a few in seperate 8oz cups full of promix outside and see if the sun and some water does better although likely longer. Anyway i'm all ears !!

ps: Will be posting some updated ball shots more zoomed in shortly.
