Jobs at dispensaries in Co?

I am planning on moving to Co in May.

I was wondering if anyone knew of any jobs at dispensaries available. Or the ease of getting one. I figured it would be great experience and a way to make a little extra money.

Are there certain requirements? What would the interview process be like? Do I need a MMJ card?

Is it best to just find a regular job first?

What experience do you have? You should have an MMJ related resume if you want to get hired on. There are a lot of caregivers looking for extra income. Look on craigslist.

i was thinking about opening a small business to provide to the dispensary owners, mystery shoppers to improve customer service....... your thoughts?

Patients don't care about customer service, they care about the product. There are already top-quality review sites out there, and even local papers like westword employ their own pot critics.

That's not a good idea. Are you looking to get a bunch of free stuff when you 'mystery shop', like free medicine for the review?

I thought I had read somewhere that you need to be a resident of the state for like 2 years before you can work in a dispensary.

Not sure if I was just really high, but I'm new to Co as well and thought I remembered reading that.

The Dept of Revenue has not yet established the rules or license application process for employees. I believe the 2 year residency only applied to key personnel such as owners or managers.
This is what is written in HB10-1284, i believe it indicates that you simply be a resident to work in an MMC:

(6) ALL OWNERS, OFFICERS, MANAGERS, AND EMPLOYEES OF A
MEDICAL MARIJUANA CENTER, OPTIONAL PREMISES CULTIVATION
OPERATION, OR MEDICAL MARIJUANA-INFUSED PRODUCTS MANUFACTURER
SHALL BE RESIDENTS OF COLORADO.


This is the part you might be thinking about, however it's listed under the qualifying factors for those applying for a center license:

(XIII) A PERSON WHO HAS NOT BEEN A RESIDENT OF COLORADO FOR
AT LEAST TWO YEARS PRIOR TO THE DATE OF THE PERSON'S APPLICATION;
EXCEPT THAT FOR A PERSON WHO SUBMITS AN APPLICATION FOR LICENSURE
PURSUANT TO THIS ARTICLE BY DECEMBER 15, 2010, THIS REQUIREMENT
SHALL NOT APPLY TO THAT PERSON IF THE PERSON WAS A RESIDENT OF THE
STATE OF COLORADO ON DECEMBER 15, 2009.

BINGO, this is 100% accurate and true +1 rep :) , but our lawyer said to only hire 2yr residents anyways just to be on the safe side. Im sure lots of places got the same advice to keep ahead of the new regulations...

I work at a dispensary and i was extremely lucky to get my job, and EVERYONE is trying to get it lol. this is the greatest job, so its fierce-keep a lot of grow journals and take lots of pics, know your stuff, and bring in your "portfolio" i.e some sample buds to go with the pics of them growing, etc, but basically man, come here, grow your own and get a normal job while you play the lottery to win one of these-then take a big paycut bc you wont get paid much to start...but it has its percs thats for sure

sorry if that question sounded redundant. I just wanted to be sure.
edit: nevermind, i see its going to be cleared up later by the department of revenue.

Also if you were a contract grower for a dispensary,
Could you sign two separate contracts and grow for two separate dispensaries?
