ok 2day update
well ohio weather was nice today but lots of humidity and rain coming
the Jilly Bean seems to NOT b very mold tolerant......had to basically cut down 1 today cause of signs of impending mold (it was still early in flowering and already mold issues on a few but this one had the potential to b a major hassle so i just killed it)
with 8 new strains im sure ill pick 1 early winner and 1 late winner for next years grow...
the Sputnik seems to b my best overall strain
the fastest (with some hairs turning colors) nice cola formation and so far zero mold issues (holding breath for 2 more weeks)
lots of lessons learned and many new ideas for next year......

ok mini update.......with rain and humidity at all time highs watering today wasnt necessary
today was about cutting down a few bad looking plants and spraying alcohol on some bad spots to keep it from spreading
if this sounds like doom and gloom it isnt.........just stating the good with the bad (unlike most growers)
gotta figure out what works and what doesnt..........gotta keep improving
(think about the electric usage of around 300 watts and the dirt expense of about 100$ this grow is going to b pure goodness no matter )))
the jilly bean just isnt working well in this climate..........while the sputnik and the big bud aka super bud look great..........(massive colas on the super bud and so far zero mold..)
id say that im starting to see the finish line for 50% of the plants.....2 weeks and ill prob b chopping.........in 4 weeks 90% will b done....

mini update
didnt water again today.....with temps in the 40s and humidity 95% not doing too much growing .....
has to b the worst climate for flowering cannibis in the usa..........nice huh lol
that being said.............its still a positive grow
several of the strains are doing fine and will yield pretty good........but 5# after this weather is laughable.......
i like the sputnik and the super bud and the skywalker and the triesel
the Jilly bean was a bust minus 1 pheno still loooking fine (pic to follow)
the ice cream look great on 3 and crappy on 2.......lots of trichomes
the afghan kush are still up in the air........not too much mold issues with it and its looking healthy but not seeming to get fat...........i have 1 indoor similar....

on indoor update
so far the indoor dirt grow has gone perfect
ive done plenty of lst and cropping and thinning.......although ill have to rethin approx 3 weeks into 12/12(this medium is really exploding growth)
the wwidow looks much bigger in dirt than i was getting in ebb....which is huge
the afghan kush is getting fatter............and the snazzleberries are all getting bit tops..............on a side note my homeade cheese x chemd single female is really building a huge fat cola.........(cant remember if i cloned her lol)

going to update today
weather has REALLY turned good today......with 6 sunny and warm days to come
i might just save this grow yet lol
today will do something i needed to do in july but forgot/lazy
ill wash the outside of the g/h and get the buildup dirt and crap off..........
this should give me some boosted sun power to go with the nice days and maybe get a bunp of yield

ok update
Mother Nature has kicked me in the balls last 3 weeks but now is gracing presence
next 7 days are sunny and warm with zero rain..................
i had to pull a few plants and salvage them b4 mold destruction.....
that being said.............things dont look horrible
i finally cleaned the outside (prob hurt my yield ;( )
and i think in a week ill start to harvest a few of the almost done plants and then by halloween i should b completely done..............
lot of things i would have done different.....but.............overall looks like a good year
the skywalker , the super bud, and sputnik seem to b the most tolerant

OMFG is she dank
she is HUGE too man.........lots of huge buds all over.........and the chopping/trimming time will b like 15 20 minutes lol.......SWEET
enjoy
(i have a cheese x chemd plant right next to it so my best guess is that...but this one is WAY bigger....although the smaller might b danker)

Hi Dagobaker...

Nice grow thread. I am wanting to buy a large greenhouse myself in the not to distant future, so I have been looking up on how to control mold etc. Have you considered getting a dehumidifier for your next outdoor grow? I think I may have to go and buy one as I Santa is bringing me some Jillybean and some Vortex for Christmas.

Would love to see some of the Jillybean cured (and maybe a smoke report :) )

Cheers
