The 6 Sugar Punch Girls got their world ROCKED today, lol!!! First real training, all their necks got wrenched good. They DID NOT like it, at all!! Really sensitive bitches, lol.
They "bruised" instantly, they complained immediately, I SEE how this run is gonna go already, lol............lol..............

They ALSO got their first taste of MH POWER!!! :fire: 400 watts of screaming MH(killer bulb) ......screaming compared to the T5 they have been under............lol.
They have ALL the PAR they can use right now, the light is tight to the small Cab, they are cool in here for 2 more weeks .............

Getting to the point I may not run the Punch in DRO. Would be my 1st real soil grow in ...............well............well...........My 1st, lol.................lol.............
They are getting large, they are WANTING to GO, despite my best efforts at keeping them small..........lol. They are also stocky, BUT touchy, kind of strange!
I am getting to the point where I think It would be a big effort to put them into the rocks at the size they will be WHEN i have space for them:wall::wall::wall:

I have already had an issue with them, not bad, but for ME, an issue is a BIG deal. I don't like issues!!! Worried about taking them from the soil to the water in 2
weeks when I have space.

I ONLY KNOW dro..........in regards to my Girls I mean. NEVER done dirt, DO NOT have a clue...........30 years in the water equals .........0 in soil, lol..........
I mean I know the Girls, know how they grow, what they need............BUT not how to do it in soil. I have made a new friend. A grower also!!!:hump:
Grows exclusively in soil, I believe all organic too. Makes "teas" ...right, like could make a tea.lol..........anyway, maybe I could attempt my 1st soil run
with help from an aspiring Master soil grower..................

Not sure what I'm gonna do at this point..............HHHMMMMM

The blueberry and more hazy phenos can be a little nutrient sensitive. Growing in organic dirt will make that a lot less difficult to deal with, although if you have experience with these lines or similar I'm sure you'd be fine.

Yes I HAVE grown her lines.............growing SSH right now.................I know how she will behave, better than full on SSH I'm betting..........lol.........

You will find the SSH pheno's of Sugar Punch will stretch WILDLY late into their 3rd week of flowering while "The One" pheno's will stay somewhat shorter and be more manageable. In your little space you'd be MUCH BETTER OFF picking 1 or 2 of the shorter plants and just keeping them while pinching/pruning/training them often. It won't take you long to see what I mean when you are in flowering........6 plants of this strain in your small space IS JUST CRAZY.

When I start up growing these again, I'll be using Phosphoload or Bush Master or Superbud to control their height.

You've been warned!!!!!

That is NOT their space..............just temp spot.......they will have all the room the want...........

I ordered 30 of the these beans last week and they only cost me $181.......which beats my normal kush orders from Attitude/Herbies by a couple of $100. My plan is to grow out them all and kill off the tallest (which normally will be the longest flowering too). I'll hit them with a kelp spray early in flowering to control/stop the stretch. I've also seen others go til 11 weeks on some pheno's, which I hope to eliminate- 10 weeks is my limit. Regarding the "small" seeds, that's the sativa influence and perfectly normal....

Good, you'll need it. Check this out, and notice only a 2 week veg from seed:

I'm in trouble then.................lol............they must be 4 or 5 weeks old! I have kept them short, BUT they WANT to GO....................
I have a few tricks up my sleeve...............been here, done this...........lol............

1) NO CUTTING..........JUST WILL NOT........not my style, never was, never will be. I can achieve much the same results using my fingers on them......
2) I rub my hands lightly over their tops 2 -4 times a day....................not getting into it here, but IT WILL help teach them to stay down..........A BIT........lol.lol.lol....
3) I will run MH first 3 weeks of the flip, it will BE CLOSE, REAL CLOSE!
4) They will have their heads bent over, and wire tied around day 5 or 6 AFTER the flip. Want them to START to move, then I will train them.
5) They will have AS MUCH WIND on them as they CAN TOLERATE...the wind will FORCE them to slow vert growth till stalk diameter can carry them.......it works.........
6) They will get as little N as I can achieve starting today. Will be fine if I get some yellowing and slow the growth, they will be big Girls and the area of the plant I'm fooling with NOW
will be of no concern 6 weeks from now................can bring N back in slowly later...........
7) I will attempt to maintain a CONSTANT air temp from day to night for the next 3 weeks............that will make their stretch weaker.............they stretch more with larger temp differences.....just do....
8) Day before I flip.........I will transplant them into MUCH LARGER pots, with fresh MILD soil. That will occupy the little monsters a few days, exploring their new territory! I will pile their roots up
instead of layering them in..................will piss 'em off, NO HARM will be done to them, but IT WILL slow their little ass's up for a few days.........then they see all the new dirt, another couple days.
9) Forgot what 9 is, but I'm sure there must be a nine..........................it will come ..........oh yeah............
9) Damn I'm stoned:bigjoint: Leaving them in the dirt I guess. Just decided. 9 is: I can move them and place them as I see fit, BIG TIME advantage 4 u dirt farmers.........er, mean, US dirt farmers, lol.
I can pull them out of the Cab if they get out of control, and stick them in an empty 12 X 12 bedroom right next door............(: So, by leaving them in the soil I gain control over them.............
MEANS: If they go nuts despite all my best efforts, I can place them in a 10 foot tall room and raise my lights...............lol.:wall:

So, that is my plan and I'm sticking to it!!! Since it will be my FIRST REAL soil grow..................Well, might as well do it right!!!!
Told 5 gallon pots will be sufficient, told what soil to use, will get ferts and "teas" made up............or beg someone else to do it I mean.
Getting cool here, no issues with heat during this run, winter is near here, temps will be in the 50's , PERFECT for me!!!
Means MUCHO LIGHTING!!!! WHY NOT...........these Ladies are suppose to be very special, they appear to be capable of living up to that,
I owe it to them to give it all I got. Got lights, just Cab POOR, lol. So, I'll just run them W/O Cab, Freestyle................Sugar Punch Bedroom.....only 10 weeks right, lol.

Gonna hang 1200 over 'em!!! 3 400 Watter's, one each over a pair of Sugar Punch's..........If I place them correctly, I should be able to
throw a good bit of light from each light on each Girl. In my mind anyways, I'll see Wednesday...............If I'm gonna do it, might as well do it well...........

I was gonna run a naked VERTICAL light setup on them..........3 400's hung vert, no shades
the Girls in a circle around them. Did some research, find out ..............well, you know how that shit goes, but supposedly if you VEG plants with horizontal lighting, then CHANGE to VERTICAL during flower, they do poorly and grow weak.........so not gonna chance it......

ANYONE one of the 3 of you watching knows, let me know...............lol...............

Wish me luck.........................

I have not heard of that, where the orientation of the light ( horizontal or vertical) affects the growth, will have to do a bit of reading on that. I just mimicked what I was seeing in large scale grow rooms, the HPS overhead and MH vertical for side lighting. I like having the MH lights in there, I just want to change them over to electronic ballast so I can switch between MH and HPS.

Man, with as much growing as you are doing, I thought it was your full time occupation...lol Hell, I can barely keep up with my 1 little closet, let alone 10 of em..lol

As always, best of luck and may your buds be plenty and your bugs be few.

Peace and Great Grows

I've had numerous discussions with Sannie regarding the stretch of many of "her" (I'm pretty sure Sannie is actually a woman) strains.......hers, not Esokbar's or Breeders Choice (which are also sold at her web site). As a breeder, she LOVES to see the hybrid vigor as opposed to me, as a grower, who would rather have the plants shorter and more manageable. These plants will grow wildly large- at least a good % of them- and you need to put them in to flowering pronto or you'll be miserable the last 6 weeks of flowering. Check out 1) Superbud. 2) Bonze Bud, 3) Phosphoload or 4) Bush Master. These are all kelp derivitives that contain Paclobutrazol and other products that quicken the onset of flowering, thus shortening the stretch in flowering. With all you listed above, which might help a bit, but that will be way too much work down the road. You'd be better off keeping one or two, and pinching it (them) into a massive bush while staking down the branches. I have seen it mentioned numerous places (and at Opengrow.com) which is Sannies forum site- if you grow more than a few of these at one time- flower early or you'll be sorry.

My plan is to start 30 plants and whittle them down to 24......while pinching the tops a few times and vegging no longer than 3 weeks. I'll hit mine with Dutch Masters "Phosphoload" early in flowering which will virtually eliminate the stretch in a mere 3 or 4 days. Remember these have Haze in the genetics- which means tall, stretchy and long flowering generally.

Those PGR's are carcinogenic and also adversely effect resin production. You see many many crops with them up here. It's bad shit IMO.
why you DID NOT see them on my list.....
Like I said the Ladies will be fine...

You can say that again....
His Killing Fields are up Next
probably the best strain on that site as well as heri, yields very well, good resin output, and colors on the purple pheno are nuts. really wanna try out some of their c99 crosses soon too.

KF is a heavy yielder for sure. I don't think it's the best he's got to offer based on my experience with it though. I had one plant out of 5 worth keeping. Not horrible mind you, but I had better luck with Silverfields and SP.

Herijuana is nice but has issues of it's own. Excellent breeding material though and good smoke.

damn ive only seen journals but it seemed like most phenos were pretty well rounded as far as resin output and yield goes. silverfields looks great too, have always loved super silver, and heris probably some of the best ive smoked, really wanna try his lady cane and blue hammer as well.
