So these are the final 12 plants before I pack up the operation and move to a legal state. We still have at least 7 more weeks until the Grape Stomper x OG and Deadhead finishes. Unfortunately, all Sour Hazy Jones turned out male, along with 2 Deadhead. So I only have 2 Grape Stomper x OG and 1 Deadhead OG to finish out with.

Sharksbreath.

GS x OG #1.

GS x OG #2.

Deadhead OG

Amnesia Lemon

OG Kush

RP Sour Diesel #1

RP Sour Diesel #2

RP Sour Diesel #3.

RP Sour Diesel #6.

Cali Connection Sour Diesel #1

Cali Connection Sour Diesel #4

Do you prefer the RP or Cali Connect strains? Which one is closer to the orginal ECSD?
Still a bit too early to say one is better than the other, but the Cali Connect Sour Diesel looks and smells better and is only 43 days into 12/12. The 4 RP Sour Diesel, Amnesia Lemon and OG Kush are all 68 days into 12/12. The OG Kush will probably come down within the week, followed by the Amnesia Lemon.

Hey Jerry, Haven't been online in a while but wanted to congratulate you on your past harvest, scanned through and looks like everything came out DANK as usual. Whats your take on the sharksbreath? did u do a short veg on that to keep the stretch down?

I like the sharksbreath a lot, especially as the cure starts to really set in. I vegged this second one a bit shorter than usual, but it also kinda mutated itself--the main stalk got really thick and then just forked into two main branches instead of one. But yeah, the first Sharksbreath vegged for a quite a while longer than this second time around, so that is probably more to do with the height than anything.

Washington/Oregon/California/Colorado/Michigan in that order if I get to pick. Depends on employment prospects, but my goal is to get out west.

Nice stuff as usual. I'm really curious to know which Sour Diesel turns out better, I'm going to be ordering the Cali Connection SD next week but I haven't heard from anyone who's grown it.

Also, how are you liking the Smart Pots? I'll never go back to bags or rigid pots ever again, I love those things.

Subbed for the report on the Sour D as well. I was looking into the Cali Connection or Dr. Greenthumbs and haven't decided yet.

I can tell you now the Cali Connect Sour Diesel is definitely legit. Both phenotypes I've got going now look and smell amazing. They absolutely blow the Reserva Privada Sour Diesels away in those categories. RP#6 is probably the best out of the those...definitely has the Sour smell and showing decent trichome development. RP#3 is the most frosted but is a funky/wonky grower...buds are kinds stringy or foxtailed but also smells of Sour D. RP#1 and #2 have no smell or frost at all...I have literally taken a bud, bent it in half and stuck my nose in the middle and couldn't smell anything. Sometimes I think I get an earthy/chocolatey hint, but even then it's only fleeting (if it was ever there at all). The yields of all 4 look to be solid for being in 1.9 gallon containers...

By contrast, the Cali Connect Sour D are both very frosted and very stinky. CCSD #1 is going to be a monster yielder, while the #4 looks to be slightly above-average. The sample size is pretty small, and I haven't smoked either, but so far the CC are visibly superior to the RP. I have yet to be disappointed by any Cali Connection strain/phenotype I've grown. You could undoubtedly find a nice pheno with just a few pick and mix, but I recommend a 10-pack if you are searching for the best the strain has to offer.

As for the smart pots, I'm pleased so far. The handles make them easy enough to move around (even though my diy handles aren't exactly opposite each other), and watering hasn't been a problem. It's not quite as easy to tie them down as when they are in the plastic pots, but I can work around it with paperclips and punching holes through the fabric.

I've already had some roots penetrate the fabric and then brown off the next day, so I guess they're doing what they're supposed to. I wish I had vegged them in the large pots for at least a few days to see what they can really do, but I will DEFINITELY get more for my future grows!

I stumbled upon your grow by a comment you made on an attic grow, air-conditioning forum. I was looking for the instructions on the homemade ac unit you pulled off the DIY. I'm glad I stopped by because you are one of the better growers I have seen on RIU. Your plants look immaculate. I like the fact that you make your own mix and don't just trust some soil company to get it right and that's why your buds always look so healthy.. I use many of the same ingredients such as mycorrhizae, guano, and peat, but also add AZOMITE which I have come to love. I am definitely subbed and will be following any future endeavors. Definitely one of top growers on this site. I would like a link to that ac info though. FH
