I need some help setting up my 12x13 room. Running 3 1k HPS and 1 600 HPS. Total of 3600watts just for the flower room. And the veg room will have 2 400 MH. I have a 25,000btu window a/c unit but HOA doesn't allow them. I was wondering if a 14,000btu dual hose portable unit will work? I plan on splitting the room for a veg room and keeping it one sealed room with the flower room by running 1 fan pulling in and another pulling out.. Gonna use panda film to section it off. The lights will be air cooled pulling air from the house through the 4 lights and up into the attic. I am running co2 at all times at 1500 ppm. How does this sound?

Sticky, it sounds like you have a good base idea for your grow. Maybe just a few refinements and you can have a very nice perpetual setup.

Please send me the exact measurements of your room (Length, width, height) and locations of any windows and doors.

I will be more than glad to help you put this together.

Thanks Jay for the quick response. The layout is 13x12x8 There is a closet that's 4x2x8 In there as well i will like to use as clones. North wall is the entry door and the closet. The east wall has the window and the south and west wall nothing. Above the door is a open vent. Hope this helps.

Looks good but the security feature is a little over the top. I may actually need a door into the operation. :-} too funny.

While you are at it, please move the ballasts to the rear exterior wall in the control room.
Slide the veg room door towards the rear exterior wall as well and move the table and cupboards to the other side of the door.

That should do it. I hope.

Sorry for the formatting but Here is the equpment list that I have come up with. Probably only start with one room and 2 lights for a cost of around 3K.

You can see the difference in cost between what I was able to find in Canada vs the US. Have any Canadians has any experience with Growwurks or other US companies as far as shipping and brokerage or duty costs.

Yes that looks great. What size a/c unit will work? Lights will be on 9pm till 9am. The 400w MH are bat wings so those will have some heat.
I'm thinking you could away with a 9,000 - 12,000BTU portable A/C, as long as you duct all of the 1000w lights out of the room. Into the attic you said?

really great work you are doing here Jay. thanks for sharing this with the forum.

be careful though with those portable a/c units. they really aren't as efficient as they are rated for plus there are some issues with them. i don't think 12,000btu will be enough for 4,000w of lighting in that room. let alone to cool both rooms. you might actually need dual units. also, those single chamber portable units tend to leak odor so make sure you can at least duct them somewhere that the odor can be dispersed.

Hey Jammer,

Been looking at your work and I'm impressed with your ideas. Well done sir!

I have a space 80x100.... how would you propose it best be set up? It's completely open so we have the opportunity to build out seperate rooms within. No equipment purchased just yet so all options are on the table.

What do you think?
