Hey does the size of the jar for curing matter? Is there a difference because I want to go get a dozen half gallon jars but are quart or pint size better? My nugs won't fit in the small jars. Please help I'm curing tomorrow.
plastics are cheap but bad for the enviroment! good ole glass jars last long and are uber recycleable.... plus you can get them by just grocery shopping for normal shit and saving them after they are empty.
Biggest thing to remember is that you have to really clean them, the lids especially. I hand and machine washed them several times, let them air out for months, then washed again a few times. That brine really sticks to the inside part of some lids, so just watch out for it.
If you have crippler weed in most jars, you're just gonna smell the crippler weed anyway, but why worry about some weird smell/taste tainting your er, cheese (buds)?
Also, the jars are leak proof, as you can obviously turn a jar of pickles with juice upside down or whatever without any liquid dripping out.
Put them in 85% water 15% bleach. Let them sit for 24hrs. Wash them with plain water after. Smell gone. I prefer apple sauce jars. Plus the smell is cool.
