To have elevated radiation levels in your food and water supply are not good, regardless of the "healthy" limit. Those levels will continue to accumulate and eventually, someone high up at that plant will commit Hari Kari.... This is far from played out.

Food crops, milk and fish are contaminated from radiation.

Water supplies also face issues.

This is the first time I have a difference of media opinions to consider about the radiation issues.

Sushi is a way of life there.. Wow..

we all do have 1 or 2 mircosievets (however sievet is spelled) of radiation from Chernobyl, it entered us through our diet. Not harmful for us at all but it shows how food can be affected by radiation in one part of the world. Japan is already becoming worse than Chernobyl.

I'm not informed on the aid but I do think it is enough so far.

The Japanese are efficient and they work well in groups. I'm sure if it's possible to get materials to places that an effort is being made to take material there.
I cant help but look at Katrina and compare the different cultures.

with katrina i think they were in shock seems the japans reacted as if tommorrow is a new day
The people in Katrina were almost ALL welfare recipients and had the mentality of a victim way before Katrina showed up. And victims do nothing but expect others to come and help them. They do nothing for themselves.

The Japs, OTOH, while much more socialist then this nation, still understand that the government isn't to be depended on and they pull themselves up and do it themselves while the sheeple in Katrina were paralyzed and were incapable of doing anything but putting their hand out.

Good grief Charlie Brown!

The people of New Orleans deserved the hurricane because there were poor people there?
Wow.. That's very questionable thinking.

New Orleans was a free society when our Founding Fathers were whipping enslaved people.

I think you miss interpreted what he posted.

I believe he was saying that a lot of the people that fell victim to Katrina already had their hand out to the government in hope a savior before the hurricane even hit.

People shouldn't rely on the government to begin with to live their life, they should be making an effort on their own.

Haha beat me to it 420god I agree with this think that post was misinterpreted..imo the problems with americans are they are too dependent on others or the government especially in my town people need to learn to overcome things on their own.. And as far as people losing their loved ones its the cycle of life the world doesn't stop because we lose people its up to us to find a way through it if everyone fell apart when tragedy strikes where would the world be?

You mean the desperately poor people that didn't have the means to leave New Orleans? Those people? Meanwhile thousands of school buses and town buses that could have been used to evacuate people were never employed. Why? What about the folks left to die in nursing homes and hospitals? One of the Homeland Security people had to listen to his own mother drown over the phone because they refused to allow anyone in or out. Katrina was a man made tragedy. The Japan earthquake/tsunami was a natural disaster.

Regardless of how a tragedy came about people still need to find a way to keep moving forward death/tragedy its all a part of life people can overcome more than they think if they put their mind to it

I was referring to the lack of response to save people, the levees that had been neglected for so long, a means of transportation to get people out locked up inside compounds, nursing homes abandoned, hospitals with patients abandoned, prisons opened up so criminals were allowed to roam free and commit terrible acts against the general populace, etc. That man made tragedy.

Yeah, that part wasn't to great. I think that's because too many people had that "every man for himself" attitude.

I agree with this people shouldn't have abandoned those in need to save their own skin I'm a caregiver and if I was with my people when a disaster hit I'd go down with them they depend on their aid/nurse they shouldn't haven been left but its because too many are too self absorbed or least that's my opinion experience..

What I find disturbing about Japan is the suppression of information. There was another explosion and people were once again evacuated from the plant. No one is talking. Now scientists are saying this is on par with Chernobyl. I think before its all over this will be the worst nuclear disaster in history.
