Jamaican in PA, Round 2

After a measly 2oz harvest underfed, under lit, and with limited soil space, I'm bringing Jamaicans around again and doing it a bit differently. All help, comments, criticism and questions are welcome, because I know I don't know it all.

To start, I'm now using hydroponics, and am just getting started this week. I'm doing a flood table, the plants will be in 1inch rockwool cubes, and covered in hydroton.

I have a 15 gallon resevoir, and with NO nutrients added, the ph is 6.8 and 208TDS

I have not started the seeds yet, that will be going on tonight after work. I'm starting this up though just to start with some feedback.

The flood table I'll be using is a new mortar box from Lowes, 15x28x6, and I'm confused as to how high into it my overflow should be. I plan to just run my filler line right over the top to fill it up, but I don't know at all how high my overflow should be to completely drain it between cyclings. I'm going to start with 5 minutes on every 4 hours, and see how the plants respond.

I'm using technafloras Recipe for Success starter kit for all my nutrients on this run, for the first 2 weeks, the plants will be under strictly fluoro lighting, then I will switch to a 400watt MH. If my other ballast is working, I will add 600 more watts a week later, and switch to hopefully 1kw HPS for flowering.

Any comments or advice so far would be lovely, I want to make sure this goes right. I'm actually thinking of starting seeds in soil in dixie cups, cutting clones into rockwool, and forcing the seedlings to get the sex before I put them into the hydroton where i know the roots will tangle together and make removing males a royal pain.

May this season begin.

Subscribed, best of luck. Do you have pics of your set up? I'm trying to build one and like to see motivation. I started my seeds in Jiffy Peat Pellets, the 12 site one with a humidome that cost 3 dollars and gave me a 100% success.
