Jacks Classic Dynamic Duo question...

I ordered some of the Jacks classic Fert online and it got here yesterday. My plants are about to be 4 weeks old and are starting to fill out nicely. I just transplanted this last weekend.

Anyone who has had any experience with "Jacks Classic All Purpose" and "Jacks classic Blossom Booster" please fill me in on what type of schedule you used and the amount you used. I ordered these as a pair as suggested by others on the forums and by Jacks website. The instructions say that for newly transplanted plants you can start with blossom booster to help develop the roots then switch to the all purpose then alternate after that on and on. It also says I can just use both together.

Does anyone have any experience giving them both these products in combination? I would like to try this.

I know they wont need much. I plan on giving them 1/8teaspoon of each product to 1 gal of water for each watering.

I had great results with "Jack's" when I grew in soil. I never exceeded 1/4 strength with either the veg or the bloom. If I remember right ... I used to use the ferts about every third or fourth watering. You really have to learn to read the plants. It varies from strain to strain, but the plants have a way of "telling" you what they need. It comes with experience. Just be sure to go easy on the ferts ... its easy to burn the plants. The first indication is burnt leaf tips. The tips turn brown. If you see this happening, just flush the plants out real well ... until clear water is running out of the bottoms of the pots.

Jack's Classic is my preferred fertilizer.....
I use the Blossom Booster for transplanting with one feeding, then switch back to all purpose.
Assuming your plants are indoors, under 400w minimum, starting with 1/8 is a good idea, depending on how often you water, you can feed every time you water. Gradually increase to 1/4 to 1/2 tsp per gallon, and as Vi says above, observe your plants carefully for optimum dosage. Generally, the more light a plant receives the more fertilizer it can gobble up.

PS. I never used them together; I switch to BB about a week or so after going 12/12

I used the Jack's Dynamic Duo on my outdoor.
After your plant develops it's first few sets of leaves you can start with the feed.
You use 1/4 stength of the 20-20-20 for the first few feeds then go to 1/2 and if the plant is looking strong you can go to the full dose.
As with any plants you do have to observe and read them. They will tell you what they need.

My plants reached 3-4 feet and I started full dose. Toward flowering I switched to the bloom and used full dose every other watering.
At no time did my plants ever get burned. Jack's worked great for me. I even used it on my indoor houseplants at 1/4 strength every watering.
It made a huge difference and greened them all up (especially my fern) which I supposed was starving for nitrogen.

Anyway, just wanted to share my review with you after using the Jack's Dynamic Duo product.

I grow in 2 gal fabric pots in Happy Frog potting soil using Jack's Classic Dynamic Duo in a ratio of 1/4 tsp Jack's Classic All Purpose (20-20-20) and 1/4 tsp Jack's Classic Blossom Booster (10-30-20) for a combind quanty 1/2 tsp per gal every other feeding. On the plain water days I use Recharge (a microbial mix). .

I made a spreadsheet for this circumstance. You can see the exact NPK ratio you are creating by mixing two products that way. I suggest mixing the two to stay around 2-1-2 (ratio of NPK) in veg, and finish at 1-2-2 in flower. Change the mix gradually in transition to get to 1-1-2, and then 1-1.5-2 in mid-flower.

If you keep an eye on the NPK ratio which results from your mixing things together, it will help you "read your plant."
