Jack47 auto throwing oddball buds

I'm assuming freaky genetics with this strain? 3 happened to grow this way. No stress as far as I am aware of. 20/4 lighting stable temps and humidity, indoor girls. Other strains I had on same growth chart on opposite side of tent grew fine, flowered and chopped already. They're now 12 weeks/8 in flower. Have increased lighting to sf-1000 a few days ago thinking that may have been the issue since they're still growing in height, they have been slower than other strains during flowering phase, stalled I assumed? The weird buds are mostly on top of main colas a few on side branches. I was going to chop to make room for something more vigourous but I'm curious now, growing something a bit different and want to see what happens with them. Is it genetic?

Yeah, I’d say it’s genetics if 3 are doing it and your other strains were fine. Possibly a mutation. A few of those pics kinda resemble polyploidism but, I’m definitely not an expert.

I have had that happen few times with autoflowers where the stem split in half on its own.

I could not find pics of the other cases, but those split buds always staid at least a little smaller(sometimes a lot smaller) than equivalent buds to them that did not split. One plant i had did this quite a bit on its lower branches and even grew one extra branchs on main stem to one that split. I threw some pollen on it, but have not grown the seeds yet. Dunno if it will carry on, but if it would and you could make the whole plant to do this, that would be pretty cool :D

Kinda looks like a weird foxtail? I’m no expert but I doubt it will hurt anything.
Either genetics or a different strain?
I bought 5 gg4 autos that turned out to be some of the tallest photos I’ve ever grown.
Let us know how it finishes.

Wow, those are unusual buds. I harvested pollen today from a cream mandarin, might give it a crack, keeps it interesting. These are xl autos sativa dom and are sloow tall autos around 120cm at the moment and they're still growing, certainly not text book but interesting nonetheless.
Not sure about foxtailing? They began developing like this as soon as they flowered, then stalled while their grow buddies matured now they're packing on the weight and growth rapidly with telltale cannabilism

Yea it looks like a mutant, I happen to be a mutant specialist so you should send it all to me for proper inhalation disposal analysis and disposal, I provide this service at no cost to my clients, yes I said free.
