I have no problem accepting the consequences of my actions... my problem is that he is trying to justify his actions by saying what I was doing was illegal. Well it was illegal for four months and he didn't have a problem with it. The simple truth is he got drunk, got in a fight with his wife, and lashed out at whomever he could; which was us.
I have no intention of striking back at him, especially violently. I don't want to sink to his level. I believe that he will sufficiently self destruct with his alcoholism.

It amazes me how police can get an arrest warrent with little to no evidence. Somebodies word isn't exactly the gospel truth

If you asked your lawyer how most people get caught he will tell you 95% of bust are because of pissed off girlfriends. For real.
You mistake was trusting family, in laws or out laws makes no difference. Trust no one.

I had 18 plants, 12 outside growing, 5 inside for seeding, and one cola I was trying to save after storm. The only reason we had so "many" was because I had heard it was difficult to grow. I assumed I'd lose half and then half of the ones that survived would be male.We had no scales or baggies or even "smokeble" stuff. We even passed our UAs. We were charged with the lowest felony in this state.

No warrants needed, the property owner called the cops.
To the OP...be sure to tell the judge your landlord had agreed to the grow for a cut of the profit...help get that karma truck rollin..best of luck.

Im sorry to hear all that man, BEst wishes and prayers to you. Thats one hell of a way to learn a lesson. If I were you Id spare no expence on a lawyer. As for being homeless, shit its not the worst ever. At least your alive. Maybe a friend will front you enough weed or money to get back on your feet. You gotta have some friends if you can get on the internet

I live in nor california which is great place to grow, basicly you have to have a huge operation out here to get into any trouble, were seeing people with over a 100 plants getting off with just getting their medicine confiscated, obviously this is if you have your medical liscense. The only problem like alot of places is the work situation out here, not sure abou the market for sheet metal worker, but we have one of the best growing environments here in the northern part of the valley, I like the idea of Colorado that someone mentioned earlier although I dont know much about colorado but Ive been hearing alot about them as far as marijuana reform. Theres always Canada, they could sure use some cool people up there, lol, could be the new start your looking for. Seriously man I wish you the best of luck, for sure get that lawyer, Im not familiar with the laws where you are but hopefully you can get the felony knocked down to misdemeanor, that should be the number one goal. Again good luck, things will work itself out, stay strong and you'll come out the other side just fine. Peace man!

California's MJ laws are pretty loose, especially if you're a Prop 215 card holder (Medical), but anybody can get one of those if you go to one of the MM doctors and complain about any one of many standard afflictions that are covered (chronic pain, insomnia, etc.). Don't have to produce any proof from your normal docs. It's looking very likely that they'll pass a law in Nov. which would allow possession by anybody, up to an ounce I believe, which is separate from the 215 law which allows a lot more and up to 6 adult plants or 12 total plants.
Unfortunately Cali is one of the worst places in the country to live as far as work, the economy, taxes, and being business friendly. They've pretty much driven all of the businesses out of the state over the last 20-30 years, and when the business leave obviously the jobs leave. At least you work in a profession that will always be around. Good luck again with your case, and btw my previous comments were almost entirely directed at the others that were posting, and in general for people that get busted, not specifically at you.
Check the NORML website, it lists all of the MJ laws by state along with the punishments. Just Google it

update... My court date has been bumped to Dec. 3rd. I'm going to arbitration to save my job, but that could take up to 3 months to resolve. My family and I are staying at my GFs parents. That makes 8 people in a 1 bedroom house. I have been applying at places including temp services, but nothing offered yet. My ex just called wondering where her child support is. FFF!!! In this state they take your drivers liscense if you dont pay ur child support. I currently pay her about $150 a week. I now have no health insurance and think I have strep throat.. great.
