about to do this thing called growing for the first time and you already know what time it is. i put the seeds in the soil and they look beautiful. they were in cups and in paper towels for two days and the tails are magnificent. i just finished putting them in soil and watered and i have them sitting under a single 14w cfl. tomorrow i'm making that trip to home depot for a set of 4 cfl lights and some y splitters. i'm going to sleep so i'm bout to turn off the lights but i'm going to put them on a 6-12 schedule for flowering when the seedlings grow and i switch to an mh. like i said i just put them in soil so i will be having them in the light for an hour and then sleeping then putting them under the light for their first light cycle. is that buggin out and should i reconsider doing this or will they be good until tomorrow when i get those lights?

I am confused as to your member status, post count, and this post. I feel like you would have already done this but they should be good until tomorrow.

Keep the light on if you can. It is creating the heat that is needed for seedlings. And CFL's and T5 are great for seedlings until they get large enough to handle the lumens of a mh.

i joined the site a couple months ago to research and ask dumb questions. i been doing research for a few months before that as well so yes i'm a rookie but i'm at least crash course tested.in any case i left the lights on like warlock said or should i say light lol and i will be heading out to home depot within the hour iof possible and putting them under the four lights for the remainder of the day(12pm) heres another rookie question though. i watered the seeds last night and i probably gave it 100-150ml generously speaking. it could easily be less and they feel like not dry but not wet. just moist. this morning when i woke up. i know they'll probably be dry by the time tonight once they take a few hours of 4 lights but its cool to water them daily since you not watering them with alot of water and it dries up quickly

lol i phrased my question as a statement but i wanted to know if its cool to water them daily since i give them about 100-150ml of water? they're in 5 inch plastic pots with 4 drain holes n i'm using happy frog with like 10-15% perlite(loose hands.) from the amount of water i put in( i was using a milk jug) probably 2 of the cups started dripping water but VERY lightly like two three drops then i wiped it down and nothing. anyways if they still feel moist i'll leave them alone till its completely dry but assuming they dry up by like........10 i'll probably hit em up with some of that agua. even though "they" say not to water before lights out

Get the highest ACTUAL watt bulbs you can afford, not equivalent.
i'm getting the cfls for seedling stage then next check(2 weeks i'll get a 250w set up with some ventilation and all that so probably around $350 off grip and i want to have my funds well established to do that. and i figure they don't need mh lights for 2-3 weeks anyways i don't want to rape em. but probably 4 weeks of veg once under the mh. depending. i'm aiming at 12-14 inches for the switch to finish at 36"-44"

and scrog that is duly noted. if they get dried up by tonight i'll let them sit in the darkness like that then water in the morning so they can be watered for the entire light cycle of that next day

You want soil to stay moist not wet. So daily isn't good but everyother maybe. And you want 36-44" plants at finish? Sence this is your first grow in gonna say veg to 20". You will make mistakes and this will change the grow hight. And if they do start to grow to big lst.
