Is "wind burn" real?

Getting some nasty gust out here in south florida today, I mean nothing hurricane-y but my biggest now out of seedling into veg plant is shaking more than dancing haha. The seedlings aren't long and spindly so the wind is strengthening them if anything I'm guessing.

Should I take my big plant inside? I don't think the stems will snap so that's not my concern. Could have sworn I read something about wind burn though.

I don't believe there is anything in the category of wind burn with cannabis. These plants thrive in wind and sun. As long as there's no chance of the stem snapping then she should strengthen well as long as she has the proper nutrients.

Most of that article I am callin bullshit on. Brown rusty spots from wind burn, gawd really. Around my area we call that an obvious nutrient deficiency. There's a lot of sketchy info on growweedeasy.com. I would warn noobs to stay away and gain info from a reputable source, just sayin.

"Wind burn" isn't something you have to worry about outdoors.

Yup no prob man. And it's really 78 degrees in December there? Geesh wish I had half that temp. this morning lol.

Lol it was 83 3 days ago in the north end of the state 20 miles from the Fl Ga line.

Yes indoor wind burn indoors is real under certain conditions. I used to see it a lot in small closets with closely placed fans. I always assumed it was the leaf getting damaged from hitting other leafs over time. I don't know if I believe some of the reasons I've read but I have seen it.

O ya, this is considered a nice breezy day for us too.

When we get back into the high 80's low 90's constantly.. It'll be like that for about ten and a half months I wanna say.. lmfao

of course wind burn is real .. if you put your fan too close you will start to get some claw on the tiny leaves close to buds

I have had winds dry buds on the plant they were growing on to leave crumbley junk. Low humidity, with high constant winds will do this in my experience. Im putting wind breaks in after this happening 2 years in a row.

indoors or outdoors?

wind increases evap which increase food uptake and can cause nute burns prob

wind burn is real yes its not horrible but your plants don't like it just don't but a 16in box fan on max facing your plants and your good

This is an outdoor thread, not sure why everyone is bringing indoor up. If a box fan can cause wind burn, well mother nature can be a bit more than that. Have sustained 30 mph winds for 24 plus hour and of course higher gusts. Your buds will be fried
