Yes well there is certainly a benefit of adding UV spectrum to your grow. in nature the sun provides UV light to Cannabis. Adding it to your environment is adding to create a "fully realized" cannabinoid profile.
This material is covered in detail in Robert Clarke's Cannabis Botany Book as well as mentioned in a research paper called ""Marijuana Optics" but the author of that paper escapes my memory right now.

You are correct. I didn't see the label marking the spectrum within UBA category, making it neither harmful nor beneficial to plants. Good call.

I use the 26w lizard lights 1 on each plant for about an hour. Do just right for me.
YOU CAN GET THEM AT PETCO OR EBAY. ebay was cheaper.

how many plants do you have?
How many watt? Of what?...
To know the % of UVB you have!
And you light it only one hour during 12/12? When? I mean in the first hour, middle or at the end?
I saw other growers use it 4 hour during flo...why?

I've experimented a little and the longer it is on the sooner you can harvest but you will get less the more watts per day. I just do 1 hr because I like the end results. more product a day or two early. All day it took a week off of time for harvest, and ended up with a much smaller plant. Experiment til you find your sweet spot. I cut down to 3 plants since getting bigger harvest.

Wrong spectrum, wrong UV. Also you do not sound informed as to UV light. EXTREMELY DANGEROUS! Read!!!!!! Use them but not before you read! About cancer, eye damage etc. Leave them OFF if you are anywhere near them.

So you advise to use UVB for 1 hour during 12/12 to enhance frosting and save a couple of days...!?
And if I use UVB all along the 12/12 it will be ready a week before...but with a bit less gpw...am I correct?
@hotrodharley what is your advice for UVB?

Sun tanning bulbs. They work like a charm and are available to make the full spectrum of UV that pot can use. They are the only thing covering enough square footage to make it worth the effort and juice.

And here is a link to all sorts of UV bulbs. Just be extremely cautious. Turn them off if you are going in. I'm a retired RN and can promise you malignant melanoma is a real risk with UV.

By the way UV is deadly for anything and everything. They can be an added protection in your flower room against critters. Bacteria and molds are also very susceptible to UV but keep in mind the distances so maintain good housekeeping and make sure no UV leaks where it can expose someone.
