I liked my hydro shop guy but he didn't know shit........he told me coco should go through a wet/dry cycle like soil.

When I done the ones I’ve got in now they come in this box just put water in and leave them for a couple day’s

I cover mine with a plastic bottle OP personal preference. Either way will work.

I only ever soak the seeds till a root shows then pot them into 1ltr air pots, when they pop they go into the tent under mh without any propagator, misting etc.
Ime propagators with high humidity slows down the growth rate, I've also found this with clones.
