Is This Spiritual Use?

i used to smoke pot only socially, as with alcohol but recently i have been getting high in my home alone, while writing my thoughts about different issues of my life, as well as facilitating to remember things, sometimes i draw several representations of my self, now that drug log turned into a diary, more complex everyday
is this what you call "spiritual use"?

abso-fucking-lutely. that is the essence of spiritualism and cannabis, IMO. I write very articulately when i'm high about deep subjects when i want to get my ideas fully understood by the reader. proof read later for conciseness. i write speeches i'll never give but the words flow. i write chapters of books with paragraphs that said precisly what was on my mind, but somehow, the words didn't coalesce when sober.

i also do my best sketching while high. architectural forms and correct massing and proportions. abstract forms and ideas. natural forms and organic representation. random thoughts creating shapes to be represented graphically. damn i love weed.

I think you could absolutely define it that way. But it sounds as if this is the beginning of spiritual use. I think it has to do more with what people define as what qualifies as "spiritual" than what qualifies as "spiritual use" of an entheogen. If you were to explore it deeper, and you felt that marijuana gave you some intimate connection either to something beyond yourself, or within yourself, then that qualifies as spiritual use.

I personally find that when smoking, I have a "fervor" or sorts for gathering up as much spiritual wisdom as I can, and questioning it. I'm purusing advanced degrees in Religious Studies and Cultural Anthropology, so this is a constant interest. But I seem more "compelled" to explore this part of MYSELF when stoned. I think this qualifies as spiritual use. And if your experience is comparable to mine, I think you can rightfully call it what it is. And I urge you, personally, to explore it a bit more deeply.

Maybe even throw an MAOI in there, like Peganum Harmala. ;-) You'll be amazed at what cannabis is capable of.
